"Communication with the owners was good. Henry was there to welcome and allowed us to drop off our luggage early. Elegant décor and exceptionally clean. The kitchen was well equipped, and the lounge area was comfortable. Each room was equipped with tea and coffee facilities & TV. It was particularly beneficial to have individual en-suite facilities in each bedroom. For future visitors: adequate parking on site but may be a bit tight for larger cars. Thanks for a great stay."

"The room was clean enough, staff were ok. They were pet friendly as far as pets were allowed in, but I was shocked to have to pay £20 per night for my small dog! They said it was “all the extra cleaning”!? Breakfast better on day 2. "

"The cottage was lovely and clean and had very easy parking. The location was perfect, close enough to town but outside of the centre. Easy access to lots of beautiful and interesting places, especially Aysgarth Falls and the Three Peaks. The shops in the centre are full of lovely supplies, and there are plenty of gorgeous places to eat or just sit. We are considering booking this cottage again for next year as we didn't have time to fit in all we would have liked to do. Well done. Excellent."

"Apparently the management had very recently taken over the tenancy which according to the manager was left in a dilapidated state. There were cheap air fresheners all over the establishment. We asked them to be removed, but the smell was impregnated and we had to have the windows open the whole time, which was not great as the heating did not work and a small fan heater was supplied and was totally inefficient. We were asked what time would we like breakfast and when we went down the place was in darkness. We and other guest waited almost an hour when we had to leave. I have never ever had this experience before. I had some health problems as did a collegue as we both had water from the tap. Which may not have been related to the Black Swan"
