The first thing you notice is the large car park. You can walk into the bar to tell them that you have arrived and someone will go through to reception to check you in. The check in takes a few moments and once you’ve got your room key (not a bit of plastic but a proper metal key!) You can go through to your spacious room. Mine was spotlessly clean. The double bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed an excellent night’s sleep. In the morning a short walk to the bar/restaurant was rewarded with an excellent breakfast, continental or full English breakfast was available together with a number of lighter options. I was very impressed with the quality of my large plate. A great way to start the day. Overall I enjoyed my stay and will happily return when I am back in the area.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as we were going to a wedding nearby. The room was a good size, bed was extremely comfy, pillows were like lumpy bricks - however, I am fussy with pillows so put a towel inside a pillowcase for a pillow instead. Once the pillow situation was sorted I slept really well :-) The shower head was tiny but it was a lovely powerful jet of water that came out, so I was very pleasantly surprised. The

The room was good, clean. Be careful of the in shower bath, as no mat provided and it was very slippery especially getting out! The food was good but service was extremely slow. Didn't seem to be enough staff, just 2 ladies working their socks off running the bar and restaurant.
