"Evan was at the Placencia airport waiting for us when we arrived. He took the time to drive us down the main street in Placencia before dropping us off at the sidewalk where another staff member was to take our luggage and walk us to the hotel. Everyone was so kind. The room was very clean and the view was spectacular. Right on the beach. The hotel is very conveniently located near many restaurants, coffee shops, and shops. The hotel also pays for a pool pass at the Placencia Beach Club during the time that the sargassum is heavy on the beach. Someone cleans up the seaweed regularly though. Sitting on the balcony, drinking coffee (also provided by the hotel) in the mornings was picture perfect. We were only at the hotel for breakfast to be served once. They had eggs and waffles, along with fruit, coffee, juice, cereal (I may be forgetting something). Breakfast was brought to our room the evening before for the next day when we had tours planned that left before breakfast time. Our stay was so perfect! I highly recommend and hope I can go back soon!!"

"Hummingbird House was an excellent home base for our Placencia stay in April of 2026. The house is even more beautiful than the online pics! We had lazy days where we just enjoyed lounging at the house and a few adventure days that make Belize so amazing to visit. The house was perfect!"

"Everything was fine. We were a little disappointed in the lack of everyday things. No coffee or even a coffee filter. Normally the VRBO that we have stayed in, will have any condiments, that were left behind. This place had salt and pepper. Only. "
