"Disappointing stay, especially as I have stayed here twice before and previously been very satisfied. There was no hot water or heating, making the room very uncomfortable. I was told on arrival that food orders would stop at 18:00, but not that the menu would be extremely limited with no vegetarian options. Despite being advised the hotel would close at 23:00, the bar was shut and the hotel effectively closed by around 20:30. Breakfast was equally poor, with no staff present, very limited, low-quality food, and again very few vegetarian options. Overall, the lack of basic amenities, poor service, and substandard food made this a very disappointing stay."

"This property was great value for money and was very comfortable for the four of us. Its two showers came in very handy, the kitchen was well equipped and the lounge was really comfortable. We did struggle with the TV so had to resort to talking to each other!!We used this as a base for doing the three peaks over three days so was ideally located. The view of Pen y Ghent through the dining room window was lovely. It was around 10 minutes walk to the Crown which had good beer and good food."

"Wonderful hosts, beautiful location, delicious food. I had a small room for one person, but with a large bathroom overlooking the Dales. Settle is nearby, nice town, and there´s a cosy pub up the road."

"Perfect for 1 adult and a dog! Impressed with how much was provided in the cottage (small things that make a big difference, such as milk on arrival, sharp knives for cooking, and plenty of towels). It was so well located and with family staying at number 6, we had lots of adventures from the cottage – the train to Appleby, Scaleber Force, Malham Cove, the cheese shop. It was lovely to come home for cosy evening meal and a comfy nights sleep before the next day out! As someone staying alone the cottage felt safe and secure and the neighbours were all very welcoming and kind."

"A lovely holiday cottage in a perfect location. If you enjoy walking then there is little need to drive anywhere, with an abundance of walks directly from the door. The village has a local shop selling essentials and an excellent pub (although booking is recommended). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
