We have stayed at the Holiday Inn many times and plan to return next year. The staff including all services we know by name. We feel like we are family . They make us feel special. We made new friends again this year. We will miss Cleophas greatly when he retires. The hotel is always clean, there are plenty of food choices, the activities are varied , the employees are always the reason we come back and never consider any other hotels.

A/C fantastic, ALL staff wonderful - friendly and helpful. We did not know, however, that Tuesday and Saturday nights are Fiesta nights. People from surrounding areas check in by bus loads… lineups for the buffet and pools overcrowded continually. Elevators not a/c and very hot. We stayed two weeks - beautiful beach, great for walking, but waves are intense. Lifeguard on duty who blows his whistle if you’re too far out.

Nice resort. Pretty clean. Nice rooms. Good ac. Food was good. Not awesome but ok. Only negative is way to busy. Hotel was crowded. Pools were full of kids. Over an hour wait for buffet. Just way too busy. We wont come back for this reason. Hard to relax when there's more people than the resort can handle

Staff is excellent they try hard to assist and make a great vacation for guests. The one star is for the property. It is old and very tired and showing its age of almost 60 years. It is also extremely over crowded. Constant line ups for every amenity from food to drinks to beach towels. There is always a smell of sewage too. No idea why? But it’s gross. I booked based on reviews I read but most of then gave it 8 stars? Maybe they are paid for a good review? I do not recommend booking here.

Property was a little dated but very clean and maintained well. Beach access was perfect. There were not a lot of food options, the hours should overlap instead of all closing at the same time for lunch. The lifeguard was more focused on girls and his phone and hardly watched the kids/pool/beach. No info was provided regarding property amenities or a map, and the entertainment area was closed for renovation. Overall a good stay, enjoyable for all.

I push just all inclusive as per the rating of this hotel.I thought it'll be a quality service and quality food will be there. The space is really congested. It's not that huge what you see through picture. It looks the space is big, the quality of the food is okay. It's not that great. There is 3 restaurant. Unfortunately, the 2 restaurants are serving the same food and one of the restaurants need, reservation. The drink what they serve to us it tastes watery rather than you feel the taste off cocktail or ale beverage. As an example, if I order a cola, it tastes like water and color. My expectations of this hotel. I thought it is quite good. The price? What I paid is not that great, as is rated as 8.

location is central to beach activities and right in front of night life activities. Felt Very safe to leave hotel and explore day and night in Ixtapa. Bike trail runs in front. You can grab “urban” vans right in front. Hotel room: we got a ground level room. smelled horribly musty and almost moldy. Extremely humid outside and I did notice the smell got better as the humidity decreased the last day of our stay. Our thermostat never worked even after we asked for someone to come check it out. They supposedly unlocked it to allow us to adjust temps. Never worked. At times it was extremely cold and other times it was fine. The water temp is EXTREMELY dangerous. It could get extremely hot very quickly and actually burnt my leg when I was testing the water to shower. Make sure to test it for your kiddos as it could easily cause severe 1st degree burns. Bed and pillows super comfy. Menu: it’s ok. Not a lot of variety, wish they offered more seafood options everyday. They offer a ceviche restaurant for lunch about 4 hrs everyday but the lines are ridiculous and sometimes not worth it. Wish they had future menus everyday so we could see what the two buffets offer for lunch and dinner. Some days they were great, others blah. Staff very friendly for the most part. Speciality dinner restau. would never look full, empty tables , and yet they still would say it was full capacity and not let us reserve a spot. FAMILY friendly hotel with small pool. Lots of children and families.

Location, location, location. Close to shopping, restaurants, pharmacies. Room was spotless, lots of hot water. Restaurant food was the best yet. We have been coming here for many years and the a-la-carte menu very much improved. The staff are incredible, friendly, helpful, polite, they make us feel like we are being welcomed home. The beach is amazing, great for walking every day.
