"Mabel's Cottage is fabulous. The views of Roughtor over the lake are stunning. The cottage has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. We wish we could have stayed longer to really appreciate it. Hosts, John and Wendy were very helpful and made us feel really welcome. The christmas decorations and the cream tea were lovely touches.Thank you."

"Booking made and paid for a week prior but when I arrived the hotel was in darkness. The member of staff said they don’t take bookings from hotels.com. and no room offered as it’s the end of the season (September). So I had to leave and find somewhere else. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. "
