"Tru hotel by Hilton fell short of my expectations for Hilton. The room : the whole toilet moved when using, I’m afraid someone will get hurt. I wanted to mention this upon our check out however there wasn’t anyone at the front desk and three others were waiting as well. A non English speaking worker used her phone to translate there would be someone by 7am. It was 6:45 and we found that unacceptable and left . The “included” breakfast was the most limited I’ve ever experienced and not worth our time. I’m guessing places to eat nearby were limited to interests of the students it caters to , not many quality options available in the area. Hotel north of Richmond and I would have preferred to stay there rather than save money at Tru. "

"I made my reservation for Woodspring Suites months in advance, but 10 minutes before I got there (9PM), they cancelled my reservation to give to someone else when all the hotels in the area were full due to a convention, meaning I had to hunt for an extended period of time to find a replacement. Very much not happy about them not honoring my reservation. Also, I have to wonder about safety on the property, as all entrances to the lobby are locked 24/7."

"Nice place, recently renovated, rooms were in good condition. Staff were mixed between good and bad. Whoever manages this place likely needs to spend more time with the staff. Front desk specifically. Elevators were terrible. At one point both were out, used the stairs, not a big deal, but annoying they know it’s a problem and just live with it. The staff mentioned it’s been like that for a while. Giving a decent rating as the rooms are what mattered to me for staying one night, but not sure I’d want to be there much longer. "

"The property look like it needs to be better maintained. The bathtub was chipped. It looks like there should be some painting done. "

"The staff was friendly, and the full kitchen was nice, and it was in a convenient location, but that was it. The ENTIRE property smelled heavily of weed and they put an air freshener in the room, but it didnt help much. We tried to turn the AC on hoping it would help and it made it worst as it was very musty. The cabinet in our kitchen area was broken, the toilet seat was broken. There were some very questionable stains on the curtains. It did not feel worth the price we paid at all. It was also right next to the main freeway which caused it to be a bit loud (but we new this when we booked)"

"Breakfast was good. Potatoes weren’t hot but there was plenty of other food to eat. Frankie, Portia and Terrance were all super helpful. They were always busy cleaning or doing something. Kudos on such great workers. It’s definitely a hotel we’d stay at again. "

"Pro- Clean and updated rooms and bathrooms. Great staff. Con- Indoor pool was unheated and chilly. Whirlpool not operational although hot. Operating button missing, emergency button appears broken off and lack of use has the water looking less than inviting. The daily water checklists on the wall for sanitation levels was not clear if ever updated or measured daily. I didnt risk getting in."
