"This property has one employee working all night. Marie checked us in. When we got to our room it was dirty and had not been prepared for our arrival. Marie had to come and clean our room. She had to run back and forth from the fourth floor to the front desk 3 times to check people in and clean our room. On top of that we were given a King room when we made reservations months in advance for a two queen beds room. Marie deserves a raise and the property manager needs to rethink their staffing situation."

"Unexpected $50 cash deposit required to get your key. It’s to guarantee no smoking. I understand but it should be clarified beforehand. There was what sounded like a violent fight upstairs. Domestic it sounded like. I just wanted to sleep after driving 7 hours, but I couldn’t ignore the apparent assault. I did call and the owner was notified. After happening intermittently for about 1 1/2 hours, it ended. I was grateful. Hope the people get help."

"As a lover of architecture, it scratched the itch to stay in a historic mansion. Like much of Richmond, IL, this house was many decades past its prime, witnessed by the broken car parked out front and the 70's apartment complex that overlooks its backyard. The home has tons of space and some beautiful original features, but you have to balance them with the broken, mismatched thrift store furniture, the challenging lack of outlets/strangely placed switches and dusty old curtains some on broken rods. We appreciated the renovated bathrooms and good water pressure, but were cringing by the lack of mattress pads, colorful microfiber sheets and old mismatched towels. Sharpened knives and ice were also missing. For a stay that cost slightly more than a chain hotel, we were satisfied, and applaud owners who are trying to maintain a significant old home, but wouldn't be excited to return to the home in it's current condition because there just weren't enough inviting spaces despite all the square footage."

"We stayed here for Miami University's 2026 graduation, and it was perfect. This was our second time at this property, as we also stayed here for our daughter's graduation in 2024. Only 33 minutes to campus on back roads worked for us, and the house was perfectly appointed. We shared the house with another family, and there was plenty of space. "

"Air conditioner was broken, was told by front desk we could get the room cleaned at noon and the communication with front desk to housekeeping is poor, remote is coming apart food in fridge when we checked in, someone’s silverware was in the kitchen and no batteries in the fire alarm just wish they cared more about there rooms and keeping them together"
