"Well below expectations allowing for the fact that this is a 200 year old property. We were in a small top floor room which was difficult to access with luggage despite there being an antique lift to get to the second floor. It still required negotiating stairs and numerous fire doors. The room itself was stiflingly hot. Obviously no air-conditioning, the wooden casement window only opened about 10cm (for safety reasons). The manager advised there was an electric fan in the wardrobe which he kindly offered to set up. Notwithstanding the fan the room was uncomfortably hot for our one night stay. The shower over bath with a dreaded nylon shower curtain did not encourage multiple showers.The included breakfast was good and the staff were very pleasant & obliging."

"We had the most incredible, special stay at this stunning country house! The moment we arrived, we were blown away by the picturesque surroundings - rolling hills, lush greenery, and a tranquil atmosphere that instantly melted our stress away.The house itself is a beautiful blend of rustic charm and modern luxury, with spacious rooms, cozy spaces, and stunning views of the countryside. But the real highlight has to be the hot tub - oh my, it's like soaking in a warm hug surrounded by nature . We spent the morning lounging in there, taking in the views of the beautiful gardens.The location is perfect for exploring the local area, with plenty of walking trails and picturesque villages nearby. And the property manager was super friendly, very responsive and helpful, providing of local recommendations for taxi services and helping with any queries quickly.We loved our stay so much we're already planning our next visit! "
