Perfect spot for winter getaway!

Quiet, cozy, clean oceanfront condo. Loved the space, enjoyed the view. Slept to the sound of the waves crashing along the shore. Perfect for an off season trip to Duck.

Great location!

This place was situated right on the beach, which was great for long walks and listening to the waves. It was also convenient to walk or bike to the town of Duck. Inside, the property was cozy and very well equipped, with great wifi. The view from the primary bedroom was fantastic.

Awesome place!

We always love staying at The Sugar Shack! The proximity to the beach (right over the dune), the size of the house is perfect for our family, the location in Duck (walking distance to the shops) and the ease of working with the owners has made The Sugar Shack our vacation spot for the past 10 years! Can't wait for summer 2024!

The Sugar Shack was sweeeeet!

The location was great with easy access to the beach and downtown Duck. The pool was secluded and most of the time we had it all to ourselves. We were in close proximity to The Wright Brothers Memorial and Jockeys Ridge. The Sugar Shack had everything we needed and we had a great time!

Perfect location

Sugar Shack is a lovely place directly on the ocean. The owners have created a space that is so welcoming and comfortable, plus it has every amenity one could ask for…the kitchen is especially outfitted with all a chef needs. Master suite has a great walk in shower and very comfy bed. The owners were so accommodating and easy to work with. Looking forward to our next visit!

We love the Sugar Shack!

This is our 7th year staying at the Sugar Shack, and as usual, it did not disappoint! The owners are awesome to work with and being in the heart of Duck makes walking to shops, etc. very easy. We love being right on the beach - listening to the ocean from the deck, easy access to the beach. Looking forward to year 8 in 2022!

Sugar Shack is the Best!

We have stayed in Georgetown Sands for over 20 years but not at Sugar Shack until this year. It was perfect!!! The house is equipped with everything you could want or need. It was super clean and comfortable and just steps from the beach!!! Georgetown Sands has the best location - it’s walking distance to Duck and 20 minutes to anywhere else! We have already booked a week for next summer!! I highly recommend it!!!

The beach was right outside our door. We could walk to town. The house contained everything we could possibly want and more. Owners communicated before, during, and after w/ helpful tips and best wishes.

Perfect Get Away

We loved everything about The Sugar Shack! Cozy and clean place with spectacular ocean views. Whether you just want to sit and enjoy the ocean or do some sight seeing this is the perfect place to do that! It was apparent that Bud and Janice want their guests to feel at home with all the amenities and special touches; not to mention quick to respond with any questions we had! Wonderful Experience!

This place under promised and over delivered! Janice was so wonderful, she even called me weeks in advance to let me know about the construction going on next door, just in case we wanted to stay elsewhere. Her consideration and kindness was enough of a reason to stay at Sugar Shack. If I ever head back out to OBX, I will be sure to stay here again! Thank you for making my trip with my Mom so perfect :)

Perfect!

Perfect place to stay in Duck. Location can’t be beat - oceanfront with the sound of the ocean beyond the back decks and only a few short steps to the sand. Walkable to the center of Duck Village. The home was immaculately clean and furnished with everything we could possibly need. We received a call from the owners shortly after check in to make sure everything went smoothly. We asked for recommendations for restaurants and they were spot on! We felt comfortable and completely at home during our relaxing week at the Sugar Shack. Can’t wait to return.
