"Budget room is in the roof space there is no lift if needed. Tv reception is terrible and there is no noise insulation between the rooms. Shower is good but bathroom needs an upgrade . £34 for 2 breakfasts so we did not bother."

"The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, I do not feel the hotel offered good value for money. At around £200 per night without breakfast included, I expected more. The lack of on-site parking was disappointing, especially as we had to pay to park around five minutes away and walk in the rain. There was also construction work taking place during our stay, which affected the experience. Another concern was the room carpet, which appeared to have dog hair on it. As someone with a dog allergy, this was uncomfortable and disappointing, particularly as I believe my allergy was mentioned when booking. I did not complain during my stay as I did not have the energy, but overall I do not feel the experience justified the price paid. The staff were fantastic, but improvements to parking, cleanliness, communication about building works and overall value for money would make a significant difference."

"Room was clean but very, very small. The car park has always been a problem but hotel was obviously pretty busy so no parking spaces left. I had to park down the road, 3-4 minute walk back to the hotel with my bag to get checked in. Breakfast buffet is a plus...would stay again as reasonable standard but there are more comfortable places to stay"

"The hotel is badly in need of a complete renovation. Rooms are smelly. Floor boards are loose and noisy. Sound proofing is very poor. The roof was leaking in the corridor . We were woken at 5:45 by workmen removing linen to a van parked out back . They thumped up and down the narrow passage way. buffet breakfast was cold. They would be in trouble if a health inspector was to drop by. The bar stank of cigaret smoke."

"If you’re just looking for beds and a shower, it’s fine. We stayed in a family room that slept six. The beds were comfortable enough. However, the room was stuffy and there is no air conditioning. We tried to open the single window and discovered a lot of knats. So we smashed them and decided not to open the window since there are no screens. They did provide two fans in the room, so we made do with that for the one night we stayed. In the morning we went out to put our bags in the car and there were knats everywhere, like hundreds of thousands of them. And we found out that they bite. They obviously got into the car while we were loading it and we had to try to get them out while we drove away. This is enough to make me never want to visit there again :/"

"We stayed in the 2-bedroom pet-friendly chalet for 4 nights and unfortunately left feeling disappointed given the price paid (£737). The location is excellent and makes a great base for exploring Fort William, but the accommodation itself felt tired and dated. The WiFi barely worked throughout our stay, meaning Netflix and YouTube were unusable, and the TV channels regularly lost signal. Several maintenance issues were noticeable, including a wobbly toilet seat, an oven that took much longer than expected to cook food, a dishwasher that barely cleaned dishes, and an old vacuum cleaner that was ineffective. Cleanliness was also disappointing. We found hairs on the bedding and sofa, and some of the bedding appeared stained and heavily worn. The chalet was poorly stocked for a 4-night stay. We were only provided with one toilet roll, one bin liner and two dishwasher tablets. The towels supplied were very small and there was no bath mat. The bedroom layout was impractical, with the wardrobe door unable to fully open because it hit the bed. The most concerning part of our stay was on the final night when an unknown person walked onto our decking and tried the door at around 1am, then returned and tried again at approximately 2:10am. Thankfully the door was locked, but it left us feeling very uncomfortable. Finally, a 4pm check-in and 9am check-out significantly reduces the time guests actually have use of the accommodation."
