Our family of three (husband, myself and 7 year old daughter), have just returned from an almost two week stay at Kimpton Kitalay. We had an incredible time at the hotel. The room was clean, spacious and we loved the nightly treats whether it’s a face mask or toffees. There is always an attendant in your block of rooms if you need extra towels or a quick refresh. We made so much use of the balcony, such relaxing couches to read and wind down in peace. The breakfast buffets were excellent, the hotel catered for our dietary requirements, even making my daughter gluten free, vegan pancakes and muffins! Shoutout to Chef Banana who did a Thai cooking class for me and my daughter, such a special experience. The kids club is lovely, plenty of activities for children to get involved with. The spa is fantastic, shoutout to Peng who provided the most relaxing massage I have ever had. The infinity pool and the room access pools were well maintained and clean, never felt too busy. The hotel is on a stretch of public beach where you can access water sports, food places, massages on the beach etc. Overall, one of the best stays we have had, all staff is friendly and helpful, food was delicious and the hotel itself was impeccable. Would love to return!

New and modern hotel in a peaceful setting

The room was beautiful, modern and clean and I really enjoyed my time at Kimpton kitalay. All the facilities were great. The surrounding area was peaceful. The hotel is really popular among families so keep that in mind if you are looking for adults-only holiday.

The team and service were fantastic. VEry accommodating with late check-out when possible. The hotel itself is beautiful, but there was major construction happening in the pool area, with loud noise throughout the day. I wish I had known about the renovation ahead of time, as I likely would have chosen to stay elsewhere during that period.

Our fav hotel in Samui!

It's one of our favourite hotels in Samui! Every single member of staff was very very friendly - we honestly felt like home! We were impressed with little details such as - the hotel learned our routine (e.g. we kept ordering a bucket of ice for 2 nights in a row, the next day a bucket of ice was proactively delivered to our room), or "sweet dreams" postcards and sweet snacks delivery before bed time. Thank you Kimpton Team!

Traveled with my 2kg yorkie and we are so happy to have found a new hotel that is comfortable, beautifully decorated and also pet friendly!!! (some hotels allow your dog in the room but not at the restaurants, pool or beach areas. We extended our stay for a few more days!! The staff is very nice and helpful, the food at the restaurants is really good. We would come back !!

Amazing stay!

Amazing property, staff, room and food. We had a beach villa that was spacious with beautiful views of the ocean. I loved the separation of the sleeping area and the bathroom/dressing room. The room service was on point…both service and food. We had a personal assistant with the villa and Naomi was on top of all our needs and requests. The pool was refreshing and needed because the tides were low from 6am to 6pm. The only bummer.

The property was an oasis compared to what was surrounding the hotel. It was beautifully maintained by extremely professional and curtious staff. My only wish was for the dining areas to have an AC option as somedays were so hot and humid that you just wanted to not sweat while eating. We ended up ordering in the last day just to avoid the heat.

Great staff, great hotel worth a visit!

It's a great new modern hotel with super friendly staff. Good location as well and a nice beach. Great breakfast, good restaurant, nice family activities. My only feedback is the cold water in pools. They are not heated and I think I saw maybe 2-4 people in the water during our 2-day stay. It seems common in Koh Samui not to have heated pools, but it felt a bit wasted to have the pool outside your room with direct access but it was painful to jump in. But it would not be right of me to give any other review than 5 stars, thanks to the very friendly hotel staff.

The overall property design and architecture was beautiful. We loved our room which was a family suite with lagoon access and had a beautiful spacious terrace. Having the kids tent in the room was a lovely touch as well. The walkin closets are poorly designed unfortunately so they dont carry much. The natural beach is amazing but staff dont do a good job of keeping it clean of debris and plastic which is very unfortunate as it gets in the water and you find yourself swimming in trash. Our biggest issue was with service where we had to wait unreasonable amounts of time at restaurants especiallt breakfast. It appeared the hotel was understaffed and mismanaged. We also did not appreciate the lack of interest and care from the kids' club staff who eventually we felt we could not trust with our kids. This resort could be so much better with the right management and care. Shout out to Naomi for all her help!

Very Stuffy feeling. Very closed off property. View is very narrow and cannot see the ocean from the balcony well. Entire property is very dark interior… breakfast is not that great. Staffs are not kind or even saying hello to the guests when you pass them. Naomi in the front desk and some other ppl were really nice, only one guy for the luggage he is super kind. I stayed Centara Reserve right before this stay. Their customer service is top notch and incredible. I am not sure what this is, it is almost same level hotel but it is really sky vs underground feel. It maybe bcz this is under Intercon group the bigger you get the less you care too much for your guest. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. If you want better wide open ocean and view and bright sunny space better stay other places. The room was also not cleansed all the dirty plate they left the cake on.

The villa with a private pool and beach access was a mixed experience. While the private pool was excellent, the overall design of the villa left much to be desired—the bathroom and closet were in separate structures, requiring us to go through multiple doors just to access them. There was no proper work sitting area, which made it inconvenient for those needing a workspace. The hotel’s beachfront was disappointing—the grass around the villa was not maintained, the beach was not cleaned, and the waters in front of the hotel were full of rocks, making them unusable. The hotel made no effort to clear them or provide any special beach facilities for guests, and service on the beach was nonexistent. Service overall was polite but not at the level of pampering we expected from a 5-star hotel in Thailand. Dinner at the hotel was below par and overpriced, as was the BBQ night on the beach. However, the seafood restaurant was excellent. Overall, while the villa’s private pool and polite staff were positives, the lack of maintenance, poor design choices, and underwhelming dining experiences make it hard to justify the price. A decent stay, but not the luxury experience we expected.
