"Beautiful room with beautiful views of ocean and Los Gigantes cliffs. Beautiful pool with poolside bar. Smaller and more personal than a huge resort hotel. Best of all, the staff were really lovely."

"What a wonderful hotel and the all inclusive was excellent. We enjoyed having lunch at Breeze overlooking the ocean - you could even have steak! Breakfast and dinner buffets were brilliant as well. The all inclusive included all drinks and the cocktails were freshly made. The wine was from a bottle and not on tap and very good quality. I recommend the pina coladas and Aperol Spritz! The pool area was well maintained - we could always find a sunbed. We hired a car which was quicker and cheaper than a transfer from the airport and have us the opportunity to drive up Mt Teide and to the Masca Gorge - both of which were stunning views and the landscape is beautiful. All in all a wonderful relaxing week away! Thank you Barcelo Santiago!"

"Had at great stay at the royal sun. Our apartment was beautiful and we had everything we could need. We had a three bed on the top floor. The facilities in the room were superb, especially the jacuzzi. The bathrobe and slippers were a nice touch too. Beds were very comfortable. Whole apartment was spotless and great quality towels. The views were to die for at all times of the day. We also found the area very peaceful. Great to have our own area to chill in water and lounge on the sunbeds on the huge balcony. TV in main bed room too that has access to the balcony. All staff we met were great especially the blonde receptionist we met at check in. We didn't use housekeeping as we only stayed 5 nights and we tidy as we go but we met the ladies to change towels and get a few coffees and they were lovely also. Shop was really handy, you wouldn't be stuck for anything and nice staff here too. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on food or drink. The pool was a nice temperature and not too busy on our stay so my daughter had plenty fun here with her snorkel set. Loads of sun loungers and umbrellas on a beautiful deck. Sea views and a bar with ice-cream and snacks also. We did avail of a late check out and we were accommodated till 1pm for an extra €20 which we were delighted with. Overall this is a great resort with everything you could need. The apartment was amazing for the money we paid so we felt it was good value for our group of 6. I would definitely return. "

"It was so nice to return to villa maximus after 6 years and the villa didn’t disappoint. It was so well equipped and had everything you needed. Home from home. The views were as before spectacular…!Being 6 years older, the Villa is now starting to show its age, (bit like me) in parts and could probably do with a bit of a refresh here and there but this is a minor observation.The only other real noticeable change since our last visit and niggle were signs everywhere telling you not to do this or that. Perhaps the owners have had some problematic rentals in the past which has lead to this decision? Apart from these observations, we loved it as before, it remains a 5 star review from us and we will return again and would recommend. "

"Great place for the fantastic views and if your fit on your legs as its a good walk to the square in los gianties , taxis no problem if required 5 euros in all its a spacious place everything you need "

"The selling point to this property is without doubt the balcony with amazing views. It was our second year staying here. The mattresses need replacing as too soft and uncomfortable. The shower needs a good clean as water does not come out properly. Kettle needs replacing as does not turn itself off after boiling and the curtain in lounge is ripped so needs replacing. I hope this helps and the owners take notice "

"Everything is beautiful as always here. My third time staying. I knew about the ongoing works to crystal 2 next to the property so was not surprised by the works going on. It was a little dusty and noisy at times but it did not spoil my trip. The lady at check in was very friendly and Natalia is always a pleasure "
