"I loved it. Myself and husbands second time there Staff very friendly and helpful Spa pool was great. Spa treatment las were extremely expensive though. Loved the overall experience Did not have breakfast this time"

"Suited us as near to where we needed to be for surprise visit. Shelf in foyer with tea coffee milk etc so can still make a drink if run out in room. Big room with double bed and sofa. Bed a bit too close to wall which is not ldeal if you need to get up in the night. Cant move it over due to fixed furniture. Parking included on site so good value if you need a short stop over. Worth checking which side you come in on as services both sides but hotel only on one so if ring ahead can get a code to go over bridge and save 12 miles!"

"Staff excellent, really helpful and very friendly. Pool good, changing rooms need a bit of an update/refurb but towels good and showers clean. Plenty of good parking. Ideal for early flight from Gatwick."

"Not let down and convenient location for onward travel to ferry/euro tunnel. Seem to have had a problem re motorbike thefts so staff offered location directly opposite reception with cctv camera as storage area for bikes was full."

The Black Horse Inn

"This is a historic inn on a pilgrim’s route. It is not a modern, high rise hotel. Don’t let those expectations diminish your experience here. The rooms are quite large and very clean. The beds are comfortable. There are not a lot of frills and extras here yet that is not what this inn is about. Be aware that the inn is not in town. There is a rather narrow road going to the inn. Good, free parking. The breakfast is basic. The pub area is super cool and historic - not sure how good the food is - we didn’t eat lunch or dinner there. This was a good, reasonably priced stop. Don’t expect a high end hotel."
