Big house, big yard, close to everything in Mount Gretna!
Welcome to Happy Landing Bungalow! It’s a large house with a huge yard. Feel like you are in the country but be close to everything. The Hide-A-Way restaurant is a stones throw away, the Jigger Shop a comfortable walk. Gretna lake, roller rink and rails to trails a short drive. The house offers four bedrooms, WI-FI, Cable TV, Smart TVs, Sauna in the Primary Bedroom and a bathtub in the Primary Bathroom. The lower level is handicap friendly, featuring a walk in bathtub, a kitchenette, a queen size sleeper sofa, a large flat screen tv, and a twin size trundle bed in the adjacent room. The house and grounds also boast a creek, gazebo, decks, and a large covered porch, and lots of parking!!! It’s close to Hershey, Lancaster, Lebanon, and Harrisburg, with a short 30 mins. to the Harrisburg airport. For those first time guests that are not familiar with Mount Gretna, Happy Landing and all of Mount Gretna is served by our local volunteer fire department located a stone’s throw from the house, just across the street from the Hide-A-Way Restaurant. It is not uncommon for the siren to sound at any time of day or night. There is no reason to be alarmed if it goes off during your stay as it is the way that the fire company alerts the volunteers that a call has come in that they may need to respond. We appreciate your understanding.

The house is very beautiful and the location is very nice. We were happy with how spacious the house was and that there was plenty of parking for all of our cars.
Really enjoyed the close proximity to the nearby restaurant! The firehouse alarm did sound a couple of times during our stay, but we were prepared for that, so it was no big deal. The home suited our needs perfectly.
This was a great VRBO! It was spacious and clean and worked perfectly for our group of 8.It is close to the PA Renaissance Faire (which was our reason for our trip) and easy to get to restaurants and grocery shopping. There was a lot of space for us all to spend time together and also spacious bedrooms for everyone.
We stay here for a long weekend in October and it's become an annual event! The house is big, comfortable and well stocked for any kitchen, bath, and family fun needs. We brought a few different family friends than had typically come in the past and they loved it too! Looking forward to next year! Thanks Kimberly!
We stayed at the Hideaway for Labor Day weekend and it was a charming house! Perfect distance from the event we were in town for and very pleasant for the remaining days we were in Mt. Gretna!
The house was very clean, and had everything we needed for a nice relaxing weekend. They provided the sheets, towels and even paper products! It is a lovely house in a very quiet neighborhood and we really enjoyed staying here - will definitely come back again!
The house was nice and spacious. It had a very homey feel. I loved the historical pictures of how the house progressed over the years. The porch was so nice and loved drinking my morning coffee and listening to the birds. It was secluded yet close to restaurants and activities. A very nice stay!
My family/friend group come up there every Halloween for the PA Ren Faire. This house was a cozy spot to stay with beautiful views, walking distance from the Hideaway restaurant/bar and got some AMAZING natural light. We hope to be back!
This property is so beautiful and so well located. Everything that you would need and then some is provided. We've been coming for a long weekend in October for several years. I mentioned looking at other nearby houses for a change of scenery but NO ONE in the group wanted to stay anywhere else!
We needed a place that would sleep a lot of people as we were traveling to a big lacrosse tournament with three locations with another family. This place was perfectly situated between the three fields we needed to be at and gave both families the space we needed to be comfortable. This is an annual tournament and we will definitely be looking to book again next year!
Loved reading the history of the home and the families that have grown up in it. We felt very cozy and LOVED the outdoor yard. My son and I played football and my wife and I loved the swing seat to just watch nature. All the kids loved the bunk beds and my wife really enjoyed the sauna. The proximity of the restaurant was incredible. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your lovely home.
You can walk to the Hideaway which is a friendly tavern with great food and entertainment. The fire whistle is loud but it only rang twice in 4 days. None of the tubs work and showering in them is not fun! They are too short! You cannot use the sauna or the fireplaces either.
The house was clean and beautiful. However, it was not exactly handicap friendly. There was wheelchair accessibility on the first floor, which I was informed of. The bathroom on the first floor was not very accessible to the shower. The opening to the handicap shower was right by the sink making it hard to assist my autistic, wheelchair bound individual in and out of the shower.
We really enjoyed our overall experience staying here for the weekend. The property and house are beautiful and proximity to Hershey Park and the PA Renn faire was amazing.
House was definitely large and had plenty of space for everyone. Community the house is in seemed very laid back and relaxed and having a restaurant with great food less than a 5 min walk away was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
