"The location was perfect. Right next to the Royal Mile, but still in Newtown so you had modern conveniences and were close to great restaurants. It’s right next to the train station and the bus station so easy to move around the country and get to the airport. The rooftop bar was beautiful and a great place to have breakfast or room. The hotel was modern, clean, comfortable. And the staff was."

"My attic room was spacious by Edinburgh standards and had a sunlight window that could be opened to let in the air. The stairs to get to this point were narrow, windy and a bit dicey. The bed was lumpy and the WiFi almost nonexistent. It was nice to have an electric kettle with coffee and tea provided."

"Huge plus is the location in between Holyrood and Princes St / Royal Mile. And easy access to buses to get around. Staff helpful. Didn’t use the hotel bar or restaurant but they looked good. Only real negative was we got unlucky and one of the two lifts was being repaired and out of service. Pool was good by hotel standards. Has a gym but did not use it. Did not have breakfast included in my rate so simply found something nearby. Seemed expensive overall but then everything in the city centre is. No bargains to be had (in June)."

"We stayed here for 2 nights and can say with complete honesty it lives up to the usual high standards associated with the Hilton brand. We ordered room service on night one which arrived in very quick time and tasted delicious everything we ordered was fresh and great quality. The beds at the Hilton are always a highlight for me with quality linens and amazingly comfortable pillows you’ll be sure to get a solid nights sleep after long hours exploring Edinburgh. Our room was ready for when we arrived at 10:30 and the staff at the desk were extremely helpful. My only foible with the room was that upon looking under our bed there was a small amount of litter from previous guests, maybe a one off due to the small amount however maybe something for the hotel to address. To conclude regardless of the small amount of litter found under the bed I would say this hotel deserves 5 stars for everything, I would highly recommend staying here and should I ever return to Edinburgh I would love to stay again."

"Such a lovely hotel/townhouse to stay for adults. It’s unique, clean, cozy and many shops and restaurants nearby making it a convenient location when you are visiting Edinburgh. It is also near the tram stop. I would advise travellers with big luggages to book the rooms on the lower floor as there are no lifts available and will be difficult to carry luggages if room(s) book will be on the ascending floors. I would strongly suggest management to have a microwave available for the guests- it will be very useful and appreciated. The Nespresso coffee machine made us happy ☺️though. Overall, my husband and I had a restful and fantastic stay. Many thanks ☺️"
