"Staff excellent and professional very helpful couldn’t do enough for you The room was lovely room 410 but was a fair walk from lift would have been nice to have a bath but other than that it was lovely Food at the hotel was top notch everything you need for breakfast staff was excellent recommend this hotel and that’s why we always come back Shaun and Julie "

"Very clean rooms, love the free water, tea, coffee and milk ect. Great they give a doggie rug for the fur baby and leave a toy. Love the feel of the place , friendly.. free coffee machine, dog treats, water and ice daily in the lounge and sometimes a cake. Staff are friendly and helpful. Easy to book online and check in. Parking is now £4 per day with a scratch card from the hotel for council parking. Used to be included. Great area for all amenities and beach. Stayed a few times and will return to Scarborough soon"

"Yes it's tired , decor wise but they are slowly working on it , slowly because they are taking care to restore not renovate. I love this hotel and will always stay here when in the area"

"Great staff, very well-presented and well-maintained hotel. Genuinely one of the cleanest places I've stayed. Easy walk into town or to the beach. I'm not from the coast and it was wonderful to hear the sea at night."

"We loved our stay here, it was so near to whitby centre. The room was good, a negative is no where to dry towels. We had to ask for more coffee and sugar, as we were staying three nights. We will recomnend a stay at Penny Hedge. Staff could not do enough for us , all very friendly and polite. We will come again now we know of the hotel . Caroline and Laura were helpful , we rang because we could not quite find your location on our sat nav. staff helped us on this matter and then found you quickley. kind regards to all at penny Hedge.
