DoubleTree by Hilton New York JFK Airport

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel, service, shuttle to airport are a big plus. Staff are very professional. The only thing missing was a restaurant with a better menu. There is a "market shop" next to the reception that stocks some items. Found those prices atrocious and hardly any food that was nutritious. Basically chips, chocolates, ice creams and that kind. Would help if they stocked some fruits even if it was just apples :-) We found a Deli just 7 mins walking distance from the hotel, so that worked out. I would certainly stay there again!"

Comfort Inn JFK Airport

"This is the little hotel that could! The rooms are very tiny but extremely clean and well appointed. They have everything you need. It has a safe, Keurig machine, hair dryer, full length mirror, clock, ironing board and iron and a nice size flat screen tv. The bathroom looks newly updated and the shower pressure was excellent and had plenty of hot water. We were picked up by a free shuttle from the JFK airport and returned there the next day. They have a small restaurant from which we ordered a personal pizza for dinner. It was very tasty. We had a breakfast in the morning in the same area which was included in the room rate. It was not an amazing breakfast but was more than adequate for us. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The hallways very badly need updating. The walls are beaten up and the carpet extremely worn out. You do need to use your room key in order to activate the elevator which was an added form of security. This hotel would be a hidden jem if the common areas were updated. Having said that I would stay here again if I needed to overnight when transiting through New York."

"Best thing about hotel is free breakfast which is better than most. Had great croissants. Whole fruit, eggs, bacon,oatmeal, waffles, yogurt etc. Convenient location and free parking(is this NY?)! My only criticism and I mean it to be constructive is please get rid of dark,”mystery “ carpet."

"The Hampton Inn is a very popular JFK airport hotel with a 24-hr free airport shuttle and a full breakfast buffet. The front desk staff is really helpful and engaging. I really appreciated the early check-in and gracious offer for breakfast since I had arrived at the hotel on a morning flight. Kamar stored my luggage in the cloakroom while I took a hot coffee and relaxed in the restaurant. The hotel is 100 yards from the Q40 metro bus stop which takes you directly to Jamaica station. The onsite restaurant and bar is a lively place to strike up conversations and relax. Using public transportation, I could get to Manhattan in $3 in about an hour. That’s hard to beat."
