"Staff were nice, room was clean.
But it’s not even at hostel level.
Smelly, old, dire.
Paid for 2 nights/2 rooms (non-refundable). Left after one night."

"Wasnt clear how to check in, but rung in the morning and was advised to call to pub for room card.
The room was very clean, and well presented. Can see they are looked after. Nice walk in shower with 2 separate heads.
Plenty of storage for clothes etc.
Bed was very comfortable and made for a great night sleep.
The food served at the Pen Y Cae was amazing and all the staff we encountered throughout our stay were helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much bother for them. "
"We had a lovely weekend away at this Inn. The room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Nice thick curtains that kept out most of the light. Powerful shower. We had a couple of meals and the food was excellent. Breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our car and they let us stay longer in the room whilst we waited for the RAC. Would stay there again if I was in the area."
"The staff were so helpful, couldn't do enough for us. The food was out of this world, so tasty and beautifully presented.
The room was spacious, the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a huge walk in shower. There was a kettle and a wide variety of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits too.
We both slept well. The curtains were blackout so weren't disturbed by the light either."
"We received a wonderful welcome by the proprietor. Very comfortable rooms & bed, excellent variery of teas and coffee. Breakfast was fab, fresh home cooked food from the surrounding area"
"Excellent food and service. Staff are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and will highly recommend. We stayed in room 301 and the views are outstanding
