London Stay

We were relocated from Ashton Apartments to the Mayflower Hotel. We stayed at the apartments around the corner from the hotel. The location was excellent, steps from the Earl's Court Underground Station. The rooms were spacious with a sitting area, bedroom, and bathroom. The rooms showed their age, but for the price they were fine. Fresh towels were provided each day (6 day stay), and the neighborhood had several fine places to dine. Would highly recommend the Bistro Benito if you like authentic Italian cuisine.

God service og trivelig omgivelser. Jeg klarte derimot å få låsning i rygg og nakke grunnet madrassene. Det er ikke mye tid å bruke på selve rommet i en by som London, men madrassen er viktig synes jeg da.

Great Location

We made two different bookings and stayed in two different rooms. The first room was a standard which was quite small and had a kitchenette and a shower capsule in with the toilet. We then stayed in an executive room which was much more spacious, better presented with a comfortable sized tiled bathroom and a kitchenette behind bifold doors. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was superb - amongst quality residences, tree lined streets and minutes away from Gloucester Road tube station and cafés.

Aston Apartments ligger på en stillsam gata tio minuter från två Undergroundstationer. Det är okej, om man vill ha det lugnt. Personalen var mycket vänlig och hjälpsam, så man vill ju inte klaga. Men för ordningens skull - "apartment"? Hur definieras egentligen en lägenhet? Vi fick ett hotellrum med en kokplatta inne i ett skåp och ett litet kylskåp. Vi har tidigare bott i större rum med större "kitchenettes" och som har definierats som hotellrum. När vi nu bokade en "apartment" hade vi väntat oss något som var större än ett litet hotellrum. Möjligen är vi okunniga, men definitionerna av "room" och "apartment" borde vara tydligare.

Posizione ottimale. Hotel non all'altezza

A fronte di una posizione centrale e comoda per raggiungere ogni destinazione, ci siamo trovati in un hotel dove la pulizia e l'aspetto interno lasciano un po' a desiderare. Elegante la zona, non l'hotel. In particolare quello che doveva essere un mini appartamento con cinque posti letto si ė rivelata una sistemazione approssimativa e scomoda, collocata in un seminterrato sotto il livello strada. Va tuttavia precisato che alla nostra obiezione ci è stata data una camera aggiuntiva senza costi, solo questo risvolto ci permette di essere più indulgenti nel giudizio. Insomma, una realtà un po' diversa da come viene presentata nel sito, almeno per le camere che sono state assegnate a noi. In conclusione non adatto certamente per una famiglia con tre figli.

Sistemazione strategica

A pochi passi da due stazioni della metro che ti permettono di raggiungere facilmente i principali luoghi di interesse,situato in uno dei quartieri più tranquilli e ben frequentati di Londra .Le camere sono essenziali. Per quanto riguarda la pulizia, vi avviso di non lasciar cadere nieanche una briciola a terra perché li rimane! E non parliamo della pulizia del bagno!!!!Dunque quando arrivate andate da Tesco supermarket e comprate un po' di detersivo!!!

Personal am Empfang sehr nett und hilfsbereit

Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen. Das Zimmer war korrekt, aber das Bad extrem eng. Lavabo hatte keinen Stöpsel, so dass man heisses und kaltes Wasser separat laufen lassen musste, ohne es mischen zu können. Auch in der Schrankküche (Abwaschbecken) gab es keinen Wasserstöpsel. Grund: es sei schon oft zu Ueberschwemmungen gekommen. Dusche haben wir gar nicht ausprobiert, denn wir befürcheten eine Ueberschwemmung, da es keinen erhöhten Rand zur Abtrennung vom Fussboden gab. Küche haben wir ebenfalls nicht benützt, Geschirr war teilweise schmutzig. Trotz dieser negativen Seite würden wir wieder dort buchen, denn das Haus ist absolut toll gelegen. Man kann vieles zu Fuss erreichen, die Gegend ist sehr ruhig, sauber und sicher.

Great for the price!

Hotel staff was very helpful, quiet neighborhood & great location. There was no real shower, just a drain hole next to the toilet. The "kitchen" was a cabinet of 2 crusty burners and mix matched silverware. If you dont plan on cooking, the apartment is ok otherwise. Close to the Gloucester tube, pubs and grocery store.

Great location

Staff and location excellent. Room very tiny. 'Kitchen' was a cupboard. Stove rusted. Bathroom very inconvenient.-- cramped, miniature sink, rusted plumbing. Strict towel limit...3 days per change. Chair broken. TV good.

Wenig Komfort in guter Lage

Wir reisten als Familie an. Geplant war, dass wir Kosten durch Selbstversorgung sparen wollten, deshalb das Mini-Appartement. Allerdings wollte mein Mann dort nichts essen, es war ihm zu eng und zu unsauber. Das Bad und die Kitchenette sind nicht im besten Zustand. Farbe blätterte ab, die Silikonfugen waren schwarz, Herdplatten rosteten, Türen hingen schief, der Kühlschrank stand schief und war vereist. Die Nasszelle war winzig und feucht. Wenn man duschte, stand alles unter Wasser. Da man sich an dem Miniwaschbecken lediglich die Hände waschen konnte, duschten wir dennoch zwei Mal täglich. Positiv war, dass es warmes Wasser und guten Wasserdruck gab, auch die Toilettenspülung funktionierte. Für das Zustellbett war im Standarddoppelzimmer kein Platz. Wir hätten die Badezimmertür, die Einganstür oder die Balkontür versperrt und uns nicht mehr bewegen können. Deshalb ließen wir es zusammengeklappt und quetschten uns zu dritt ins schmale Doppelbett. Dessen Matratzen waren allerdings sehr gut. Unter dem Bett, das wir etwas beiseite rückten, war Dreck. Das Zimmer wurde nur montags gereinigt und die Handtücher ausgetauscht. Diese hatten wir immer über die Stühle gehängt, da sie im Bad nicht trockneten und dort auch kein Platz für drei große Handtücher war.

Gute Lage - das ist leider schon fast alles.

Das Apartment für uns als Familie mit drei Kindern war viel zu klein, das Essen am Tisch gerade noch möglich. Tagsüber waren wir - zum Glück - unterwegs.

Beautiful but Frustrating

I have stayed here before, and after each trip discover a new frustrating aspect that prevents me from leaving a better review. This time 'round, the only mirror in the room was too high and far away for me to see myself. (I am 5'3".) Not that it would have mattered - the bathroom window was screwed shut, making it impossible to de-fog with fresh air from the bedroom windows which open so wide you could leap from them. Had to do my makeup and hair by using the reflection off the microwave door located in the closet. No place to store clothing. I did enjoy the quality of the linens, flooring, lighting and trim. Wonderful quiet location. Walls are thick, but the doors are thin! Careful what you whisper! Ask for a ground level room, or you might have to ascend 6 or so flights. The price should include breakfast, but alas, it does not. No difference in the pricing between the executive and deluxe suites, but the executive gives a view of the garden, deluxe will get you a brick wall. Cheers.

Chambre pour 3 assez spacieuse mais Sdb très petite. Cuisine pratique. Le quartier est très bien avec commerces à proximité, métro, bus. La rue est très calme. Située en rdc, nous n'avons entendu aucun bruit.

Stadtnähe / Nähe U-Bahn Gloucester-Rd.

Kurzer Aufenthalt, für den wir das Hotel nur zum Schlafen genutzt haben. Dafür passt das Hotel: ruhige und gepflegte Wohngegend, sauberes und funktionales Zimmer, ordentliche Betten. Frühstück gibt es dort nicht und auch der abgebildete Garten ist nicht zur Benutzung durch die Hotelgäste vorgesehen. Die Dame an der Rezeption erklärte mir, dass sie mir zwar aufschließen könne, aber dass eine Benutzung durch Hotelgäste wohl eher nicht gerne gesehen sei, weil es sich um einen Gemeinschaftsgarten verschiedener Hausgemeinschaften handle... Dieses Gemeinschaftsgartenmodell gibt es in London häufig, aber meiner Meinung nach hat der Garten in der Hotelbeschreibung nichts verloren. Die Badezimmer sind gewöhnungsbedürftig, weil winzige Kabinen, in denen Toilettenbenutzung und Duschen gleichzeitig möglich wäre... für kurze Aufenthalte aber kein Problem. Eine Kochnische mit Kühlschrank wäre ebenfalls vorhanden, ist aber ebenfalls sehr sehr klein. Service war nett und unproblematisch. Für Ausflüge in die Stadt ist das Hotel ein guter Schlafplatz... für Aufenthalte tagsüber ist es eher nicht geeignet.

ロンドン価格相応の設備（バスルーム設備は最悪）だが、交通至便で総合的には満足。

猛暑の夏に滞在したので、冷房設備がないのは、ちょっとキツかったです（ロンドンで冷房が期待できないのはわかっていましたが）。タイトルも書きましたが、シャワーを使うとバスルームの床全体がビショビショになる仕様。ただしこれも、ロンドンの安ホテルでは普通。ベッドは悪くなく、寝心地は良かったです。

Well positioned

Well positioned between two tube stations that allowed me to get into the city quickly. The young staff were very helpful and knew their jobs. The place was clean and well looked after. Internet was very good and once you were on you didn't have to keep re-setting passwords. You could also get online with multiple devices on the same password which is very helpful. Not all hotels let you do that. The room was ridiculously small though as was the ensuite. This room was meant to be for two but if so it would have been incredibly cramped. I'm told that's London but in NYC or Sydney for the price I paid in London I'd get a much better room - larger and better equipped. I'd stay there again but I'll be looking around before I re-book.

very nice apartment hotel in central London.

Me and my grown boys had an apt w/3 separate beds, mine was in the kitchen alcove for a little more privacy, perfect. Apt had micro and hotplate,refrig and French doors to the back patio. Shower/bathrm was a little tight, but my 6'3' son managed. Staff was very friendly and place was clean and neat. But location, location, location!Next street over had dozen restaurants, coffee shops,even Starbucks. Also bank and foodstore and underground ,all within 5 min walk. Would recommend this to anybody looking to save $ by eating "in". I didn't cook, food store had lots of ready stuff for breakfast or lunch.

Lugnt läge med nära till tunnelbanan

Överlag var det jättebra. Huset var ju ganska gammalt och lite slitet men hade charm! Trevlig personal. Det tog några minuter att gå till närmaste tunnelbana och även till två olika matbutiker. En nackdel på rummet var att det inte gick att hänga upp sina kläder någonstans. Lugnt och tyst dag som natt, så vi är nöjda i familjen!
