My date was a drunken mess but the property was fabulous. Highly recommend the beach club, Niko is amazing and takes care of every need while you are lounging and enjoying the private beach. Dog friendly resort and plenty of complimentary activities always happening on property like sound bowl events, coffee tastings, and the restaurant has some delicious offerings as well. Pool has great food & drink service and the chairs and setup are well spaced so you can feel like you are not being crowded and can relax.

Some of the best service I've ever experienced. It's expensive, but comes all-inclusive. Everything in your room is included. All property amenities are free. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The highest-end glamping experience you can have in LA. Will come back next time with the kids.

This was the most perfect location for a major birthday milestone. The team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special, and we won't ever forget it. Close enough to drive 'into town' but far enough that you feel worlds away from everything and really take advantage of everything the property has to offer. This will not be our last time here.

The rooms are incredible the amenities need some work. No steam room or sauna, one jacuzzi constantly packed full of families and kids, pools not heated, one bar. Very Very Bad Food.

We really wish we were writing a more positive review... calamigos guest ranch itself is really gorgeous, the rooms are lovely and the staff is extra friendly but the food is so terrible that it made my fiance and I sick the entirety of our trip. Not only did it make us sick it just tasted so bad, was sloppily prepared, and was just very much so not worth what we were charged. This was so disappointing to us and made it so that we felt we could never come back unless we brought our own food. The restaurant which we went to for our special anniversary dinner was so bad that we had to send dishes back multiple times for being burnt, undercooked, overcooked, missing seasoning... the waiters themselves were apologizing horrified and even agreeing that their own food is terrible. No discounts were ever given on this terrible bad food that left us with stomach issues every single day of our trip.

I stayed at Calamigos Guest Ranch and Beach Club with my husband and my dog—and we had the best time! The property is located in a quiet, remote area of Malibu—the Ranch itself is very well maintained! We loved our premium private cottage that included an outdoor shower. We also loved the breakfast/brunch and lunch offered at the main restaurant—the black truffle croque monsieur and clam chowder pot pie were seriously incredible. The best part about Calamigos is that it’s pet friendly. They had a goodie bag for our dog upon check in that included dog treats, toys, bath items, and a doggy bandana! They also had a dog bed and dog bowls already set up in our room. And how can I forget to mention the dog room service!? Yes! You are provided a dog menu and can order room service, all day long, for your furry loved one—for free! During our stay, we also visited the Beach Club. What a gorgeous place that includes a full bar, restaurant, pool, showers, beach chairs, beach towels, and private beach access. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because we did not receive good service (or any service for that matter) at the main pool. Aside from one other couple, we were the only people there and the server had a bad attitude and completely ignored us. We sat there for 30 minutes and she never came over to ask if we wanted something to eat or drink so my husband had to go get drinks and food himself. Even after getting our own drinks, she still never came over to check in on us.
