Hyggelig og rolig.

Hotellet hadde akkurat åpnet for sesongen. Vi ble tatt godt i mot. Informasjon ble gitt på engelsk. Servicen var bra og rommene rene. Det var litt "langt og kronglete" å komme oss til rommet med bagasje. Ingen heis. Maten var "midt på treet". Det vil forhåpentligvis være med "liv og røre" i området rundt når sesongen starter for fullt.

Sjarmerende hotell

Vi hadde et koselig opphold på Tørvis. Nydelig 3-retters middag og deilig frokost. Rommet var lyst og fint, med flott utsikt til hagen. Behagelig seng! Anbefales på det varmeste. Dette er nok et hotell vi kommer til å bruke flere ganger.

Utmerkede fasiliteter, et Hotel med sjel.

Utmerket servise fra de unge mennesker som var helt topp, men vi hadde en trist episode kort tid etter ankomst. Vi gikk ut i haven med en plastpose med diverse eiendeler og aviser/blader. En dame henvendte seg til min kone med beskje om at det ikke er lov å spise medbrakt mat i haven. Vi mener det ikke er i orden at tiltale gjester på denne måte, og er meget skuffet over denne henvendelse og synes den er upassende.

Unique hotel with charm and ambiance.

This hotel was conveniently located along a road which has a lot of drive-able scenic spots to stop and sight-see. The hotel was exquisitely decorated and very unique -- lots of antiques and interesting pieces. Think of it as bed-and-breakfast meets larger hotel. I took my coffee in the morning and found some private spots in the lounge area to look out over the fjord and investigate my surroundings. Our room had a patio, so access to the outdoors was easy. Breakfast was decent. We had a problem with the rental car and the hotel staff were wonderful in accommodating for a phone and access at front desk as much as we needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel for travelers and visitors to Norway, as I think it adds some character not found in other, more sterile hotels along the way.

Disappointing but so much potential

Potential is massive as the hotel has a stunning location. Problem is the restaurant which could be so much better. Not only is it over-priced but worse was the fact customer service didn't seem to matter. This was shown by food running out and basically everyone shrugging their shoulders. For some of the choices to run out at dinner seemed surprising given the menu isn't that extensive but for milk to run out at breakfast suggests something worse. First how this can happen in a hotel is beyond us. Worse was that someone didn't go out and buy some more, overall gave the impression that nobody seemed to care. So as I say could be so much better.

Hyggelig og romantisk hotell

Vi var to par på tur. Ble tatt veldig godt i mot, og rommene var vakkert møblert og store og lyse. Deilig med et glass vin i den nydelige hagen. Middagen var ok, men personalet kunne ikke særlig mye om maten eller hvilken vin som passet til. Veldig stille og rolig sted, med en morsom og annerledes innredning.

Rauhaa ja kaunis näkymä suoraan huoneesta

Torvis sijaitsee hienolla paikalla, keskellä metsää, vuorien ja vuonojen lomassa. Hotelli on vanha, mutta siisti ja viihtyisä sekä erittäin rauhallinen. Sänky oli Super mukava ja huone viihtyisä, vaikka melko pieni. Aamupala oli ihan ok, ei ehkä vastaa ihan hintatasoa monipuolisuudeltaan. Täällä olisi voinut viettää useammankin yön ja käydä lähialueilla patikoimassa. Hotelli on hyvä, jos haluaa tulla rauhoittumaan metsän keskellä, huoneissa ei ole TV:a ja ihan läheltä ei löydy edes ravintoloita. Kävimme illalla syömässä Sogndalissa ravintola Malinissa, suuret suosittelut! Huippuhyvää ruokaa, paljon vaihtoehtoja etenkin jälkiruuissa ja Norjan hintatasoon nähden todella kohtuuhintaista. Palvelu oli hyvää.

This would be a easy 5.0 review other than a couple of small items that made it less than perfect. A great tub, but no stopper so shower only. I was sick that day so the long rather ramble walk and steps to our room was not kind to me. On another day the charm of the reading rooms etc one had to pass through would have been a plus rather than a minus. Lovely hotel and wonderfully located.

Fantastisk mat, men detaljar hindra toppkarakter

Vi likte oss godt der. Servicen var god, sjølv om mange var nye jobben. Var alltid imøtekomande, venlege og straks viljuge til å hjelpe. Middagen og servicen i restauranten var svært god, men vi såg små detaljar som leiinga kan rette på for å heve inntrykket ytterlegare. For eksempel at kjøkkenet må vere ope så lenge der er gjester i restauranten. Der var folk som ville bestille dessert, men fikk beskjed om at kjøkkenet var stengt. Dette var uheldig. Frukosten kunne med fordel vere litt meir rikhaldig og ha litt større kvantitet. Kvaliteten på det på det som vart servert i restauranten var likevel av svært høg kvalitet og kan anbefalast på det aller sterkaste.
