Beach is not good. Very small swimming area. Lots of rocks even there. Need reef walkers. Hapuna beach state park is about 15 miles north of this hotel. That is a great beach.

Such an incredible stay! Just returned and it was everything I wanted in our vacation. Such a relaxing resort, beautiful grounds, amazing rooms, two large pools, plenty of space to roam around, beautiful pond with ducks, bikes available to bike around, delicious food, an awesome gym, snorkeling right from the shoreā¦.I can go on and on! We were so sad to leave and wish the Rosewood Kona so much success. Part of me doesnāt want to see it get busy so itāll always be as quiet as it was during our...

My 5 year old son and I spent a week at the Hilton Grand Vacation resort. For us it was a great decision. With a car, we were two minutes to the Hilton Wailkoloa resort, and had full use of their facilities with free parking. If you plan to park yourself at the Hilton Waikoloa all day, then I can see where that may be a better option for some than the Grand Vacation. We were only a few afternoons at the Waikoloa lagoon, and spent everyday exploring the island. The pool at the Grand Vacation...

We had an awesome stay. We did not realize how big this resort was. I would definitely stay at Kingsland again. It offers easy parking. And it is nice and quiet where we stayed. And we had access to any other part of the resort. So it allowed us to be away from the main building, where the beach and luau were located. Because there are a lot of people staying at that location. So where we stayed, it was nice and relaxing. They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere within their resort. They...

We had a great 1-week stay here. We enjoyed the many features: beach, fish ponds, pool, restaurants, and the room/view was great. The hotel is beautiful, the open architecture and focus on water throughout is very unique. We visited a couple of the nearby resorts/hotels we had considered when booking the trip and it made us feel that we made the right choice, best value especially considering the price. Also, a drastic difference between the crowds we encountered at the other resorts compared...

Well, I found the King Kamehameha Courtyard by Marriott to be quite a decent spot for a stay, but it wasnāt without its rough edges. There by the beach, where one hopes for a bit of serenity, there were a few folks living rough, and it tugged at the mood Iād hoped to find. Now, I believe if more of us took the time, as folks have done in places like Seattle and San Francisco, where a bit of outcry led to tangible improvements, perhaps things could change here, too. It was a decent stay. Would stay again. The bathroom shower needed some attention . Mold and mildewy on the plastic shower curtain liner. Other than that, it was older and a bit dated, but it was comfortable and clean for the most part.

We could not have been more pleased with Aston Kona by the Sea. We had Unit 106 which was 2 bed and 2 bath. There was a sofa bed also (a little sloped but livable). The unit was completely perfect for our needs. First, we had a fantastic view of the ocean from our lanai. There were sliding doors in the living room and master bedroom. This was great because you could go out on the lanai from the master and not disturb someone sleeping on the sofa bed. The kitchen was updated and equipped...

The grounds and swimming pools are beautiful and located on a bay that is fabulous for snorkeling.
We stayed in the Vacation Club part of the hotel; they provide washer/dryer and fridge, as well as recycling bins in our room.

I like this hotel location and the environment. I will definitely go back again. However there are a few things that irritated me and left a bad taste to my experience.
Majority of the hotel staff were very friendly and nice. Itās just only a handful that I met werenāt that polite or sincere. Management should monitor and observe to correct or replace those staff. (They werenāt in just one area or department, they from parking, reception, etc) On the other hand, there were helpful and very...

Me and the wife enjoyed staying at this hotel and its proximity to the snorkeling beach. They had all kinds of boogey boards, paddle boards, snorkel and fins, beach towels, chairs and such for you to use at no extra fee. Washer and dryer on site. A vey nice place to BBQ if you like with all the seasonings and sauces provided for you to use. The room had cooking utensils and such to prepare meals. I would stay here again. The lady Gigi that runs the place was a pleasure to meet.
