"Great place & location. This is our third stay at Pop's Garage in Jacksonville. It's the perfect cottage and you can tell the Hosts put love and care into the details, so our stay is relaxing and comfortable. They make check in and out a breeze. We love the updated look and feel of the place. If available, we always book Pops Garage when we are visiting family in the area. This rental checks all the boxes we find important....comfy, private, kitchen, king size bed, pet friendly with a nice patio and fenced yard. Our pups love this location and we've added walking the quiet neighborhood with the pups - Getting our steps in. We would highly recommend Pop's Garage in lieu of a hotel for the privacy and comfort. "Breakfast was terrible. Breakfast Room compared to hotel size was small and only one appliance for everyone. Pretty pointless. Pool was closed. Beds were hard. "

"Overall, the property is clean and the rooms are furnished appropriately. However there was an incident that reflects management's view of its customers. On the second day of our four day stay, shortly after breakfast, my wife and I noticed a very strong odor which gave us both a headache. I checked the hallway and the odor was much stronger. I went to the front desk to inquire about the problem and was told that they were painting the room across the hall. They said that the windows were open and a fan was in use. They said the smell would "dissipate in a while." When I asked to speak to the manager, the front desk clerk went behind a partition and spoke with the manager. She came back and told us that the manager was too busy to talk with us. I asked for information as to the type of paint that was making us sick and was told that they didn't know. They said that they would provide that information before the end of our stay which they never did. To avoid becoming more nauseous, my wife & I had to leave the hotel for several hours. Not once was there an apology or an offer to switch rooms. We usually stay at this hotel 2 or 3 times a year but will never return as it is obvious that they do not consider the safety of their guests as a priority."

"Water was off upon arrival . Handyman showed had no knowledge off water turn on process. The water was turned on and blew main line, had no water in morning, 8 people had no way of taking shower. Wasted 8 hours of waiting on repair to be completed then told could not be completed, had to go stay in local hotel, that hotel stay was a adventure !"

"Room was disgusting. Light hanging down from ceiling in bathroom. Toilet backed up when used. Room phone didnt work. Desk clerk on duty was very rude and agressive. Only positive he did give me a plunger so we wouldnt have to change rooms. Loud partly due to comedy club attached to lobby. Pool dirty. Had no towels but 3 floor mats. Strong Smell of marijuana mostly in bathroom . Had to pick up air purifier"
