My brother my son and three other friends stayed the first five days. Fish bonded had a great time everyone thought the accommodations were great. Second five days my son the rest of my family joined us eight adults for children. Accommodated all of us very well. Pool was great location was very good.

Overall very happy with the property. The pool was wonderful, the beds were super comfy and the extras were much used. It is a very baby friendly house and perfect for our large group, we never felt like we were on top of each other. The location is fantastic as our kids were able to bike to many places. It is a quiet area, with beautiful views up and down the canal. Only 2 things to be aware of, there is no screened in porch but the deck is very nice and large. The sleeper sofa is not at all suitable to pull out and sleep on, thankfully we had an air mattress and did some sleeping rearrangements. I would reccomend renting this property and the host Jay was easy to communicate with.

Heated pool was perfect after a long day of fishing! Roomy bedrooms and kitchen. Ice maker for fishermen - great vacation home and great neighbors!

Great time with friends

Property is great for a group of friends or family to spend time together. Pool was fantastic and being able to keep the boat on the bulkhead made for easy boat days, having ample parking for a trailer was a great bonus as well. Would definitely come back.

Amazing home in Marathon

The pictures don't do it justice. The home is fantastic for a large group and the pool, ice maker, dock access, etc is just fantastic. We can't wait to return.

Filthy and pest infested

Roach and ant infested. FILTHY with dirt, grime, and mold. 1965 uncomfortable and stained with who knows what furniture, and a “chilled” pool so cold we couldn’t use, and no way to adjust. We tried to make the best of a very upsetting situation, and this was the 1st, and last time using VRBO. I wish I could download the pictures I took of the above comments!

Family vacation

We had a total of 12 people from extended family there. There was enough room for everyone and the layout of the house works well for large groups. The location was great and we made use of the boat dock to rent a bit during our stay. Kitchen well stocked with everyday items and have baby items there too if needed. We really enjoyed our stay!

Filled our needs

The pool, dock, canoe, paddle board, and kayak were great! Our family used them a lot and made our stay at the house very enjoyable. Could use more drawers in 2 bedrooms and closet in 3rd bedroom upstairs should be to put clothes & shoes, not vacuums and cleaning stuff. Loved the back porch and foosball table. We very much enjoyed our stay.

What a great week!

We had a great week! Love the location of the house just minutes away from the ocean by boat. We had fun watching the manatees in the canal everyday. our kids especially love the pool and how they keep it so warm so they could swim at night. Had all the extras like paddle board, kayaks pool toys, chairs for the beach. There’s a coffee shop and ice cream bar right down the street. Also, a clothing gift shop, Birkenstock store and another ice cream shop a little further (walking) overall loved this place. Would stay again!

2023 Family Vacation

This property was the perfect place to bring the children and grandchildren for a family vacation. The property was clean and included so many extras. The pool was especially perfect for young children and the adults alike. The steps allowed the young children to play while adults relaxed. There were daily visits from the manatees. There was plenty of space for three different families and two dogs. Location is close to restaurants, grocery store,fishing charters and the beach, but not on a main Street. The host was very responsive to any needs although we had very few. Would definitely stay here again.

Family fourth

Perfect spot. Easy docking, quiet canal, the house was great for the 12 of us and had enough space and more for six adults, two adult sized teen boys, a teen girl, tweenage and two others. Bikes were a plus, kayaks were fun, pool was the perfect place to cool off after fishing. Communication was great. Easy access to house. Plenty of parking for 3 vehicles and a boat trailer. We had rented a boat and one family brought theirs. No docking issues.

Pleasant and quiet waterfront home.

This property was everything we where looking for as far as atmosphere, and it was a nice place to relax, after exploring the keys every day. The owner was quick to answer any questions or concerns and even was understanding when we had a mishap with an animal. The only thing that could improve this place further is the addition of a Roku or firestick for the televisons. None of our party watches cable and only one TV had YouTube or Netflix. Plenty of towels, laundry supplies, kitchen utilities, and even bluetooth speakers avaliable it was a great addition to our stay!

Very kid friendly

We had 4 grand children with us ( 2 1/2 years old down to twins at 11 Months old ). At no time did we feel the place was unsafe for them. That was the hardest thing to find was a kid friendly place. This is definitely the place. Winn Dixie and Publix are a mile away. The kitchen was accommodating and if you wanted to go up it to eat the food was delicious everywhere we went. The neighbor Rob was so nice and he will take you out on his charter boat fishing. We flew into key west airport which is only an hour and 10 minutes away. And we also visited there a couple days too. Sombrero beach is right by the Publix and the kids loved it. This was a very great memory making family trip.

Fabulous Family Friendly home!

Wow! The view, the pool, the kayaks, the baby safety items, the well stocked kitchen!!! This home is amazing! I have never been at such a child friendly home! Fixed gate at the top of the stairs was great! The Sun shelf on the pool was perfect for the 4 year old and 18 month old to gain confidence to swim on their own within the first few days with swim vests. The pool items, swim vest and connect four was a huge hit! Plenty of beach towels! The best part is the spray fountains around the pool. Fun in the daytime and beautiful at night! Hammock was fabulous and enjoyed. The downstairs living area was great for quiet play in the evening before bed, build a puzzle and just visit. The bathroom downstairs is perfect for space and great shower. Downstairs beds are firm and better for children than adults. Fooseball table in the foyer was a hit. Wonderful kitchen that was well stocked for cooking. Lots of windows to look out on the canal. The porch was wonderful and we spent many hours watching the other boats come in, the tide move in and out, a school of fish that was there everyday. Loved seeing the manatee and pelicans. 3 bedrooms upstairs, one is a master with a crib in an adjoining space was a real bonus for us. High chair and toys were great! The home has been loved by many I am sure. Normal wear as expected. The owner was very quick to respond to all questions. Would definitely love to return again. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Needs updated & a working coffee maker, but great location

I’m a travel agent, rented property for a family holiday. The furniture is old & living room furniture is uncomfortable. There are sugar ants in the kitchen. There are 2 coffee pots neither worked. The outdoor living space and pool area was dirty. Only 3 wash rags and listed for up to 12 people, we bought some and left them. Light bulbs were missing and melted. Missing stems on lamps couldn’t turn them on. Smoke detector hanging from wire in trundle room, no bedspread or pillow for trundle bed. Sliding door to pool no handle on outside had to use hand on glass to slide open. Broken drawer in down stairs 2 twin bedroom closet. What was great was the location, bikes, kayak, paddleboard and pool. We overall enjoyed our stay but coffee is very important to us as well as cleanliness.

Keys Vacation

If you are a fisherman with a boat, it is a great location. Ice machine and outside bait freezer a plus. However, the property needs a lot of TLC and a good cleaning. Crib was broken, two burners on gas stove didn't work, coffee maker was broken, pool fountains shown in pictures permanently disabled. Property manager listed on front door said they hadn't worked there for two years. Very difficult reaching host. Check grill before you plan a meal. Propane for the grill was empty and host says guest are responsible for obtaining and cost of refill. Would not stay here again without some upgrades being done or lower the rate. There are many properties in Marathon at this price in a lot better shape and available!

Easy Access to the Ocean )

We chose this location due to how easy it was for us to access the ocean. The home has all the necessities, including, a big plus -- an outside ice maker and freezer. Very boater friendly - with nice neighbors. Sadly the weather did not cooperate the week we chose, giving us 25-33 mph winds, causing us to leave the boat on the trailer for 2 days. We have never experienced this type weather down in the Keys. It was even too chilly to swim in the pool, and some of the area around US1 near Florida City/Key Largo was on fire a few days before our departure which caused us to leave early because of road closures. Yet...we are thankful for the upstairs balcony and covered parking. We hope to choose a warmer week next visit.

Perfect location!

We needed a quiet upscale place where we could relax, but get to the action quickly. This house was perfect for that! My husband, my sister, and myself truly enjoyed the layout of the house, the amazing pool, and even got a visit from the local manatee family! It was close to amazing restaurants and had the perfect kitchen for relaxing meals at home. Highly recommend!

Great location

Location was great with direct ocean access. Pool was perfect for multiple adults and kids. It was especially nice that the pool gets shade from the house in the hot afternoon. The ice maker outside is a must have in the keys. It saves daily trips o the store to refill coolers. As a note to the owner, the fridge ice maker in the kitchen was broken and it is a pain to get ice downstairs every time. Also, need more silverware and basic utensils. We had to wash forks after every use. Overall a great house that can accommodate a few families.
