"A well located hotel, on the main road in-between Matlock Bath and Matlock town. Our room was clean and the bed was firm but comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The hotel itself could use some tlc, especially in the outside areas. I would also consider advertising the Indian restaurant more by perhaps having a menu on display / in rooms etc. I think with some investment and updating, the hotel building could be more appealing"

"Love, love, loved it. If i could pick it up & take it home i would. Was on my own, with little doggy, after dropping teens off at ynot festival. But felt v safe & Matlock is soooooooo friendly, more chatty than me! So close to town & beautiful park. Easy walk to matlock bath where i spent afternoon with pirates! Cottage had everything & the most comfy bed, I have tiny car & after 5 hr drive the parking space was not gonna beat me. But if need be, plenty parking down side of park. Daughters have told me im driving them bk next year!! Ill hopefully be back"

"We had a fantastic weekend away in Matlock with our family of 10. The house was spotlessly clean, incredibly spacious, and easily accommodated everyone without ever feeling crowded. The hot tub and games room were a huge hit with both the adults and children, making our stay even more enjoyable.The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed for cooking and dining together, which made catering for a large group really easy.The location was perfect and made an excellent base for exploring the area. During our stay we visited the Heights of Abraham, enjoyed a trip to Bakewell, and took a lovely walk to Lumsdale Waterfall, all of which we would highly recommend. There are also some fantastic places to eat and drink just a short walk away. We especially enjoyed Farmacy Bar, The Newsroom, and D'Alessandro's.We had a brilliant stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped place for a family or group getaway."

"Perfect B&B. Sue and John were very welcoming and couldn't have done more for us. Room was very spacious and comfortable. It was well equipped with lots of attention to detaill. Everything was spotlessly clean in the room and the communal areas. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice . Only downside was the road which was a bit challenging but we got used to it!"
