"We really enjoyed our stay! The location was great — within easy walking distance to Kings’ Shops and Queens’ Marketplace, with plenty of options for breakfast, dinner, and shopping. The beach was beautiful, calm, and protected, which made it perfect for swimming. The pools were great as well. The staff was wonderful throughout our stay — everyone was kind, helpful, and welcoming. Overall, we loved everything about the hotel and would definitely stay here again!"

The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort

"The overall appearance and amenities were excellent. Some minor issues included one restaurant that typically serves breakfast was closed so the breakfast took place further away at the finer dining restaurant. That made our anniversary dinner experience a little less special because we were eating there every morning. The room was cleaned daily but some areas were less than clean like corners of bathroom and tile in shower etc. The beach was very nice and the pools were as well. Food was pretty good. Drinks overpriced as expected. Meridia was actually a great meal. We booked way in advance for our anniversary and initially the host attempted to seat us in an enclosed area with larger parties. I requested a sunset view along the glass barrier and was accommodated quickly. The wine we ordered was no longer in stock and alternate was suggested and was pretty good. There are lots of stairs on property and we didn’t mind the walking. We chose a garden view lanai king room knowing we would not have a view due to others explaining there is a huge residential property in front of the Westin that impedes on the ocean view unless you are in the south section top floor. We were out and about most of our ten days and that didn’t matter to us. We utilized the valet parking which actually costs $41.50 per day but $40.00 as we thought. Keep in mind tipping the valet in addition adds up. We would return to this property based on the overall experience and location."

"The Mauna Kea Waiulaula Villa was absolutely amazing. The pool and spa were our favorite amenities. The view is fantastic and the kitchen is very well organized. The house was stocked with everything we needed, including beach equipment. The gas BBQ grill is nice as well, and we made dinner at the house a few evenings. The house is conveniently located near multiple beaches, golf courses and made for easy day trips to Kona and Waimea. Donna was a delight to work with and was extremely helpful. We had to tack on an additional night, and she made the process very easy. There was even a lovely bottle of champagne waiting for us at check-in. We would definitely stay here again."

"As a former customer of the Hapuna Westin (previously Hapuna Prince), the Hapuna Residence was the perfect choice for our latest stay. Having 2 small kids, the condo gave us more options to make my family comfortable. The first day/night was extremely hard on my young autistic son and when management inquired about the noise, we were met with compassion and understanding. The condo was exceptionally clean and furnished very well. The view was perfection and having the extra amenities from the resort gave us everything we needed for our stay. I highly recommend this specific condo & I couldn't be happier with our choice."

"The condo was an exceptional place to stay. We only stayed 5 nights. There was a little snag in communication at the end as the cleaner entered the property before we left, and the call tonour phone was a little off-touch, but we were still thankful the host allowed us to extend our check-out due to our special needs. They are very accommodating, which we greatly appreciated. Before arrival, their communication was VERY thorough. Our stay was wonderful, so in the grand scheme it seemed like a very minor miss.As for the condo, the views of the Kohala range are expansive, which is very endearing, and the ocean views were wonderful too. Sunrises and sunsets - incredible!We frequent this side of the island often. Unfortunately, the price of the resort's amenity package continues to rise. I know the price of the condo's in the area are pretty comparable to this one. I just wish the resort would partner more with owners for rental guests on value. However, if you have a party of 5 or 6 it's probably worth it. 150 a day for 2, not so much.Overall, the property was clean and spacious, and the layout was just right. We are making early concessions for next year already. We will gladly stay here again if the ammenity package doesn't increase further. Otherwise, we might decide to look elsewhere to keep the amenities! Again, more than 2 people, this would be a wonderful fit!!"
