"Absolutely loved this resort! The vibe was chill and inviting. The room we received upon checking in was not quite what we were expecting. Called down to ask for a room with a view that would match the description of the premium one bedroom suite that was described when booking. Within a half hour we were moved and the room was exactly as booked and provided an amazing view of the ocean and overlooked much of the resort. The room was very nice and comfortable for the four of us with the pull out sofa in the living room and two full bathrooms. The food was excellent and amenities were well maintained. Above all else the staff were amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We loved the options for shopping on the property and the gym was excellent. Overall very memorable experience and look forward to a return visit!"

"This was the second time my wife and I have visited Hawaii. The last time was 20 years ago, before kids, when we went the Maui. This December we went to Waikoloa with our 14 and 16 year olds and it was a dream! The property is amazing, with a protected lagoon. They literally could swim with turtles, rays, and all kinds of fish. They also have a dolphin population right at the lagoon and you can watch them swim and play with their trainers all day long. It's pretty amazing. We stayed in a Makai garden room, which was clean and had wonderful views and easy access to the pool just outside. The onsite food options were a bit limited and were expensive, as we expected, but honestly not that bad compared to the mainland these days. You can also walk a bit less than a mile to some other options, which we did on a couple of occasions. If I can afford it, I will definitely come back to this place. And, I highly recommend it for families with older or younger kids."

"This is a well appointed property. Kitchen pans were noticeably top quality. The house is spacious and pleasant. The host responded promptly and reached out to be sure we were comfortable. We loved it! "

"Wonderful spot, perfect location close to shops, beach club, pool, and beautiful public beaches all along the Kohala coast. Hosts were responsive and accommodating whenever we asked anything. Only thing I wished we had realized earlier in the trip is the thermostat would shutoff if certain doors were open for a period of time."
