Gladstone House

Gladstone House

10/10 Excellent
"Upon arrival, we were greeted very kindly by the front desk. The vibes were super chill. The building itself is amazing. Riding an elevator that is 100 years old to our room was super cool. The room and hotel were very clean like immaculate clean. The 3rd floor has a pool table in the lounge area. The 2nd floor has a cool balcony to chill on. The room was small but it’s an old hotel that has been redone perfectly. The bed was comfy and pillows were plentiful. Local art fills the blank spaces around the hotel and in the rooms which makes for a great ambiance. We loved hanging out at the bar in the afternoon. The food and drinks were amazing. We would definitely stay at the Gladstone again. It is a 25 min walk to RBC amphitheatre. The staff were all very nice and welcoming. We felt safe and in good hands. Thanks for a great stay!"

"Loved my stay here. After reading some reviews, I was hesitant in booking but I am glad I did. This is a hidden gem in the heart of Toronto . Busy tourist street. I did some biking by just walking down the street to rent the bikes. Then I tried the restaurant Downstairs the hotel, for the price of the food it was really good and tasty. Staff were always smiling and helpful . The suite itself was clean and I loved the fact that I had a robe . Overall awesome experience and I will be back ."

The Loft - The Brick Hotel

The Loft - The Brick Hotel

8/10 Good
"The unit is essentially brand new and was fully appointed with all the expected amenities. It even had a microwave which was not listed in the amenities list. The neighborhood is in a great downtown location, vibrant, eclectic, diverse and fun. The apartment was also quiet at night. There were some issues worth mentioning. The unit has only one bath, not one and one half baths as listed. The unit entrance is at the rear, in a lane/alley. Arriving at night there was very little lighting. The entry door was not marked either with an address # or any other identification. There was also graffiti on the rear building wall and a pile of leaves and trash just steps from the door which did not make a good impression. And while there was parking in paid lots close by, it is not correct to say it is “onsite.” That said, the host was very responsive and cooperative with any questions or issues we had, particularly when we were arriving."
