"Very cozy hotel/inn right on the Hudson river overlooking Kingston on the other side. Set in a very quaint little village of the same name. Room was large with a large bathroom with a deep tub and shower. The room also had a private balcony with incredible views of the Hudson river. Check in was more like an Airbnb with no check-in desk or staff. You get an access code by text.the day of your visit and your room key is on the front table withyour name on it. Up the road is a small market and across the street is a small restaurant. I think the only issue we had was that the hotel is right across the street from an Amtrak station and the trains can be quite loud as they pass. Wonderful stay overall!"

"Glen is a great host - very helpful and communicative. He lives on the compound so he’s available if needed, but otherwise you have privacy. The space itself is unique and comfortable. I stayed with my daughter and dog and there was space for us to be together, but also separate. The location is great being close to Red Hook and Rhinebeck and also close enough to visit Bard easily. Would stay again."

"From the minute, I drove up the private road to the top of the hill and reached the house. It was obvious this place was special. The grounds are in immaculate condition, so pretty. When I reached the top of the hill and saw the house - it was simply breathtaking!!! I stayed here for four days with my family and teenagers and honestly I didn’t want to leave. The attention to detail is astonishing with everything and anything you need labeled and easy to find and nothing more you could wish for. The open plan, dining room, kitchen, living room with impossibly high ceilings, and ultra high finishes led to amazing nights in where everyone can be together all the time. The vinyl collection hit all right notes also. I forgot how much I love the sound of vinyl. So nostalgic. And the huge TV was wonderful. It even has a dedicated mudroom and dog wash for our furry son. So when we all went on a hike and came back muddy, we could enter through the back door and all clean up before walking through to the house. Clever. We were lucky enough to have amazing weather the entire time, which allowed us to spend a lot of time outside, in the hot tub and on the enormous deck utilizing the grill. The showers are also incredible, I can’t explain it. You just need to see it for yourself. And the old school standalone brass baths in each of the bedrooms looking out onto the mountains and lake are beautiful. I cannot say enough nice things about this place and could go on forever. The host couldn’t have been more polite and helpful also. We all loved the experience. I already know I’m coming back and told friends to go. This place is simply incredible."

"The Journey Inn is a delightful Bed and Breakfast! Our hosts, Val and Eric, were wonderful and their suggestions on everything from dining choices to what to do and when to do them were all spot on! I suggest that you seek their advice before you travel so that you don't have to make any last minute changes! Just a few of their helpful suggestions: Go to the FDR Museum earlier in the day. It will take several hours if you do it right. Also, wear a sweater. They keep it rather cool inside. We did the FDR house on one day, the museum on the second day. I suppose you could reverse this. Thank you Val and Eric!!"

"This is a beautiful property and we enjoyed our weekend stay. There were wonderful farm items left for us to enjoy and samples from local purveyors. There was a very helpful guide of various things to do in the area which is how we learned about the Milea Estate Vineyard. It was beautiful and would highly recommend. We also enjoyed relaxing on the outdoor deck. We are already talking about returning soon!"
