"We had such a great time at Windermere House! The location is absolutely beautiful—right on Lake Rosseau with incredible views, especially at sunset. It feels peaceful and private, but still has a lot going on if you want to explore. The hotel has this really charming, old-school Muskoka vibe but with all the modern touches you’d want. Our room was super clean, cozy, and comfortable. We spent a lot of time out on the front lawn and veranda just relaxing and soaking up the view. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurant was seriously good. There’s lots to do in the area too—boating, paddleboarding, cute little shops nearby. Overall, it was the perfect mix of chill and fun. We will definitely be back! "

"Stayed for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! While the facilities were dated as noted by other reviews, DO NOT let that discourage you because the service, cleanliness and location was perfect!! We requested a second floor room which was nicely decorated, very spacious and CLEAN! Bed was comfortable and our view from the room faced the woods and beautiful trails. We had breakfast on-site and it was quick, tasty and affordable. Make sure to try the home fries, soo yummy! The staff were very friendly and Max recommended many local sites to us which we checked out in parry sound and everything was amazing!"
