"We stayed here Aug 2025, coming in from Florence. Siena is absolutely gorgeous and Hotel Athena was the perfect hotel to explore the area. The hotel itself was very nice, updated, good sized rooms with nice bathroom. Tea kettle in the room and water in the fridge (at no extra cost) was appreciated after long days on the hills of the town. "We loved our stay. The hotel had really nice breakfasts included and the pool was fantastic after a hot day walking around the old city. We had a standard room and we were expecting it to be small. It was very small - it was difficult to find space for our cases and the shower was so small that it was hard to use it without banging your elbows. The room did include a nice outdoor balcony which made up for the super small room. The hotel was an easy walk into the old city."
