"I arrived after dark and the hotel and the village were like a magical New England winter scene with sparkling lights everywhere. The proximity of the hotel to a typical New England church and numerous white painted wooden framed structures was a scene from our historical heritage. The hotel was reopened less than a year ago after extensive renovations. The outcome is a GEM. Decorations deserve an A+."

"Wonderful stay at the Lodge! Well appointed rooms and the house has everything you need! Felt like a home away from home. We loved it and will definitely be going back. For the skier in you, about 30-50m to any major ski resort and nearby to a lot of other amenities. Julie was a great host, very kind and welcoming. Communication excellent! Thanks again "

"This was a beautiful secluded log cabin in great part of Vermont. The wood stove made for a great experience and housed us perfectly for a ski weekend.*One thing to note is the house is located 10 minutes on backroads up on a mountain. During the winter season there should be a note on the listing advising for a truck, SUV or 4W drive. My Sedan was unable to make it up to to the house the first night and lucky another guest of ours had a Ford F-150 to get us up to the home. The second night I also barely made it up and it was dangerous. Plan ahead in the winter.I am still giving this a 5 star rating as I would book again for other seasons. The home and location is beautiful and dog friendly"

"This house fit the bill for my family—35 minutes to Mount Snow and Stratton, but in a peaceful setting close to a village and away from the ski mountain scene. It’s on a quiet residential road directly on the West River, with great views. It was clean, with comfy beds, lots of cooking supplies and tons of books. One important thing to note is that the house is on 4 different levels, so that means lots of stairs between the entry, living area, kitchen, and upstairs bedrooms. It wasn’t a problem for us but would be a deal-breaker for some. The property was offered through a rental agency so no direct contact with hosts, but the communication was no problem. It snowed during our stay, and the driveway was plowed three times, which was amazing. We would love to return."

"Wonderful property. Perfect for our family trip. Plenty of room , the basement being the most used by the kids. Clean, neat with all the essentials. Large kitchen well stocked. Sledding on the property itself was priceless. Would definitely recommend and rent again. Hosts and property manager available and easy to communicate with. "
