"Staff were warm, welcoming and helpful! Special mention to Gabriel at check-in who was just a star and Ivan in the rooftop restaurant! The view of the beach from my room was stunning! Decor pillows on bed were very old and gold frame of bedhead was stained/rusted. Mirrors (both eall and lighted small beauty mirror) were dusty/not properly cleaned. Also the light on the beauty mirror was not working."

"The stay was okay overall, but there were a few issues. The rooftop pool looked much better in the photos than in reality. Check-in was also poorly handled — we arrived at 12pm and were told after 2pm multiple times that the room would be ready in “5 minutes”, but we didn’t receive our room card until 3:30pm. They offered a slightly late check-out to make up for it, but since our flight was at 6am it wasn’t useful. The bathroom also felt quite outdated, and the shower frequently flooded the bathroom floor, which was inconvenient. Overall, not a terrible stay, but definitely room for improvement."

"The location was convenient, but the street wasn’t the nicest and was about a block from a night club/strip club. The rooms were quite outdated. The bathrooms smelled a bit and while mostly clean, were not up to par for a 3-4 star hotel. The one nice part was the rooftop view. Check in and check out took longer than most of the hotels we stayed at in Rio/Brazil. "

"Cant beat the price of this hotel! It amounts to what it is a nice clean hotel room, small bathroom and central area of Botafogo. Definitely would stay agin especially when budget traveling! Really liked the glitter and sparkles table they had for carnaval goers. Breakfast could be better, but was not bad at all! Staff are young and very friendly. You can get anywhere in the south zone within 10-20 mins from here even less. Definitely recommend especially if you think youre not going to be at the hotel a lot! Cute, quaint, fun"
