"This is a charming little place--a motel from yesteryear that has been refurbished. The biggest sales point for me is that it is completely out of the town of Luray (although close enough to go to town for food) on the road to Shenandoah National Park. The setting is rural and idyllic and very quiet. The second main draw is that the office manager is the best I've ever experienced at communicating with guests, almost to a fault. We received numerous e-mails before our arrival and again during our stay and after we left. No misunderstandings here! Our room was clean and comfortable enough. I think the main drawback was that rooms are long and exceedingly skinny, so there's barely enough room to navigate around the beds. Our bathroom (the end part of the thin rectangle) was so small, that my husband couldn't shave and I couldn't blow dry my hair in front of the bathroom mirror, because the space was literally too cramped to lift our elbows. We managed, but we probably wouldn't come back unless we planned to stay only one or two nights."

"The room was very clean and larger than expected. It would have been nice to have more than 2 hangers in the closet. Our room was on the first floor, closest to the front desk and to the door to the stairwell, so there was quite alot of noise after "quiet" hours and before 7 a.m. Just wish it had been quieter in order to get a good (two) night's sleep. I might stay again, but would request a room on the upper floor."

"Great hosts. Clear communication and quick responses. Comfortable mountain home. Clean and had everything we needed. The game room in the garage provides entertainment for all ages. Perfect for grown ups too with a hot tub and nice fire pit area. We enjoyed stargazing in the quiet off season. Would visit again."

"The motel has some age, but it was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The A/C could stand to blow colder, but all in all for a budget priced motel it was pretty good. I would stay there again"
