"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hanalei colony resort. The staff was amazing! I made a mistake booking something, and they worked frantically to make sure that we made it. The shuttle service is an amazing perk that you should definitely take advantage of. I was not expecting the room to not have an air conditioner, but, leaving the Windows/screen door open, made the room completely comfortable. The property landscaping is gorgeous. It’s a great location to get to so many attractions/beaches/shopping/food/etc. If we ever go back to Kauai, we will definitely be booking here again!"

"House is very clean and well kept. Location is remote, just be prepared to drive a lot but that's part of being in a private area away from the resorts. Host was communicative, kitchen is well stocked, electric bbq is awesome outside, a lot of jungle noises which was a first experience for me. Thank you for the wonderful stay. "

"This was a very nice place to stay at for our 2nd week on Kauai, perfect for 4 people. Each bedroom has a separate AC unit, plus one in the living room, which kept the house very comfortable, although we didn’t use it that much since the temps were mild the week were there in April. The kitchen was well-appointed, even a coffee grinder. We loved having breakfast out on the lanai. Overall, highly recommended."

"A great house and location for a family vacation! The small beach area is just steps from the back door and a great place to snorkel in calm weather. The house is large enough for guests to easily gather or retreat for some quiet time. Leila is a wonderful host. "

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are two seniors, and this is a great place to go and just relax in a area that is close enough to town for convenience, but far enough to be quiet and away from things. General condition was knocked down one star because the bathroom sink needed some maintenance. I had to reach under the sink to operate the drain stopper in the main bathroom. Initially electrical outlets in the bathrooms did not work, but few days later we found a circuit breaker turned off. Cleanliness was knocked down two stars because my wife was not impressed with the overall cleanliness of the place, particularly the cleanliness of the bathtub. However, we would not hesitate to rent it again."
