"The property was amazing. We walked in and were wowed by the beautiful house and the fantastic views. We visited the park from the house and the wonderful beaches ( which were in walking distance). The coffee shop in the local village was a great bonus too.The property had everything we needed, especially the air conditioning in the bedroom! We loved watching the ever changing view from the deck. Definitely take your binoculars so you can watch the birds in the trees!The host was easy to contact and cleared up any questions we had.If we are lucky enough to come back we would book again and will recommend it to friends.Thank you for sharing a bit of paradise with us."

Beachfront Luxury Dream House with A/C & Gym!

"We had a an amazing stay at this north shore house on Kauai. Amazing location with beautiful views throughout the house. Loved all the windows looking out to the ocean. House was well stocked with everything we needed- ended up cooking in several nights because we just didn't want to venture out. Upstairs bedrooms were gorgeous. Downstairs bedroom didn't have the ocean view but it was a very spacious separate apartment with nice courtyard & most time was spent upstairs or out at the beach. AC worked great in bedrooms & breezed flowed with screen doors open in main areas. Loved spending the afternoons on the porch. Beach right out back was rocky but it was a short walk to more open sandy beach (& monk seal on our first night). About a 15 minute walk on road down to Tunnels Beach (we thought it was quicker via the road than sand). Plenty of beach chairs and other accessories needed for beach time. Our family of 8 had such a fabulous time at this beach home- we can't wait to book again for our next trip!!"

"All of the staff were quite friendly and helpful. We loved the grounds, the location, and the beach - great access to Tunnels, Haena, and Hanalei/Princeville communities. The sunrise view from the premium ocean view rooms was fabulous. When it rained and the wind blew(which it did a lot during our stay the last week of July/first week of August), the balcony was often uncomfortable for sitting outside. Our unit was not as well equipped as would have been useful for a stay as long as ours where we prepared meals onsite. Basic dishes, cooking utensils and pans were provided, as were salt and pepper. We had a 15 day stay and the room was cleaned once during that time. The hot water was the hottest I have ever encountered, which was wonderful for showering after a day in the water! What we haven't figured out was why our welcome email asked what our plans were (we had our wedding on the island and wrapped our honeymoon into the trip) - we shared that information but as far as I can tell, it was for no real purpose. We are not terribly well traveled, so maybe I missed something that others will be aware of."

"On a lovely plot of land next to an idyllic stream that you can watch flowing by sitting on the second floor patio (fully screened in) taking in the sounds of nature this wonderful house will capture your heart and provide lovely shelter for you and your loved ones while visiting Hanalei. Mark is a warm and attentive host who looked after us the entire time and was always ready to support us in having a great time visiting this beautiful place. -Well stocked-Fast Internet-Tastefully Decorated-All windows and doors with screens (except the front door)-Comfortable BedsIf you are looking for an authentic, cared for, comfortable, relaxing, well located, house you would be well served staying here."

"We spent 12 days at the Tiki Hut and it was one of our best rental experiences in Kauai. The privacy was perfect and the host struck exactly the right balance, available if we wanted anything, but never intrusive. The property itself was spotless and the grounds were beautiful. Being a 5-minute walk to what's arguably the best beach on the island was a huge plus.What really stood out was the thoughtfulness of how the place was so well stocked and nicely furnished. Everything you'd need for a day at the beach or a night cooking in was already there, and Toni left snacks, coffee, and wine to get us through our first day without a grocery run. Small touch, but it made a big difference after a long travel day. Also, really comfortable bed and great shower with good water pressure.The 2-person hot tub was a nice bonus, and in great working condition. That's rarer than it should be. Every other rental hot tub we've used has had some issue.We'd highly recommend this place without hesitation and can't wait to stay again. "Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is about the vibe. And by that I mean an authentic north shore experience. And that means it won't be for everyone. Kauai is humid, was 94% while we were there and this property was build in 1964 to those standards. So, that humidity is in everything. We were four 50 somethings looking for that authentic vibe so we thought it was great but again, if you are looking for blemish free, air conditioned and hotel standards, this is not your place. If you want to feel like you stepped back in time and connect with the amazing unique north Kauai environment while feeling that ocean breeze and also be just a few minutes to Hae na and Halanei, then couldn''t recommend it more."
