"This place is unique, and the huge trees on the property are amazing. You can pick your own fruit and macadamia nuts even, and keep or eat them. The set up of the "common area" is a bit odd, with the main room being part of the hostesses house. The pictures of the beautiful kitchen that I saw in the listing was very misleading, as the kitchen is 100% hands off, guests are not allowed to touch it. Which was really weird and not welcoming, and odd that you can be right next to the hosts personal...

Keep in mind that the check-in process isn't typical. If you want A/C for your room or have any needs for on-site staff, you must check-in before the office closes at 5pm. "Room I booked had strong mildew smell. Owner solved problem by allowing us to move to upstairs unit. This was so much better. Appreciate the responsiveness. Hot tub is very old and beat up. Time for an upgrade. But sitting there at night with frogs and moonlight was awesome. Lava tube was closed. This was a bummer as it’s why we picked this place. Very close to park entrance. Short drive."
