"Great location for exploring New Forest area. Family friendly. Staff were nowhere to be seen during dining hours and while we were walking around the hotel during our stay? Service was poor during our meals. The building is beautiful but could use a major uplift in the form of fresh paint - all doors were dirty and scuffed. And all the furniture was well past its used by date, couches and chairs all lol tired and we’re sinking. Some money could be spent on making the interior match the exterior as it’s so beautiful! "

"Plenty of parking available, with electric charging points for those that need them. The hotel is dog friendly. Ideally placed to be able to walk into Lyndhurst. Having a swimming pool is a great asset to the hotel."

"Fabulous tranquil setting with forest ponies right outside the door. Our host was really helpful and quick to respond. The house was really comfortable, well equipped and the equipment / towels were really high quality. The nearby Oak pub did us proud for food and drink, and there were abundant forest walks in every direction. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Best hotel I’ve stayed in in the UK. Everything was perfect, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the hotel was spotless and attention to details were lovely even a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge for hot drinks, lovely touch. The food was outstanding quality. The bed was huge, the toiletries were plentiful and the housekeeping was perfect. Although the hotel was very posh and of high standard we didn’t find you had to dress up if you didn’t want to. The spa treatments were of high standard, my husband and I both h had massages with Alisia and I can say it was the best massage we have both ever had. Would definitely be returning. Our only disappointment was to find the spa pool, steam room and jacuzzi had closed last year. Thank you for such a superb stay just wish we could have stayed longer."

"Friendly staff, prompt check-in. Room was very spacious, much bigger than expected. Comfortable bed, clean and tidy room, bathroom, with separate bath and shower with toiletries available. Restaurant was lovely, good choice of food and drink and reasonably priced. WiFi was available throughout the property and worked well. Plenty of parking available. Short walk in to the town and easy access to other towns and attractions in the area. Bar staff extremely friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel.
