This was a beautiful property and the different onsen options were great, we tried them all out and felt rejuvenated and relaxed for the rest of our trip. The buffet was great and our room was beautiful and comfortable.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful though their English is very limited. They seek to please.
Breakfast and dinner buffets were tasty and of good quality ingredients, items were always stocked.
Large onsen facilities, it never felt crowded.
Staff was fantastic and good food for breakfast and dinner. Very pleasant experience. But the area is pretty remote and would love to have more transportation options around the area. But still accessible via public transportation and very fun.
Attractive retro look of first floor and large room! Good selection of food options and the pretty view from the room. Enjoyed wearing the complimentary yukata and jacket.
A traditional Japanese room and food. This is where the locals go... and we enjoyed it for that reason. Listening to the river all night long was delightful. It was a wonderful experience!
A large hotel with extensive spa facilities, great buffet breakfast and dinner options and extremely helpful staff. The building and rooms are a bit dated, need a modern upgrade.
-Some distance from KINUGAWA station, better drive yourself
-Nice customer service
-Clean and comfortable room with nice view
-Decent breakfast and dinner buffet
-Double onsen
-Convenient while check out (Shuttle bus service to the station)
We were unsure about this hotel being it was older, but once we arrived, we knew we were in for a great time. We were greeted by what seemed like the whole staff as we entered and the service and attention never ceased the entire trip. The included breakfast and dinner buffet were incredible as were the onsen facilities. We will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future and will be sure to let all our friends and family know about this place as well.
We had a wonderful time at Kinugawa Onsen. The traditional Japanese rooms were wonderful and the breakfast and dinner buffet were wonderful. We also enjoyed the public baths, karaoke rooms, and reflexology massage. The gift shop was also lovely stocked. The views of the mountains and river from the rooms and floors were wonderful. Highly recommend if you want some low key, nature retreat from your visit to Japan.
After 7 days of busy touring around Tokyo this was exactly what we needed! Being surrounded by the lush green hills was lovely.
The accommodation was great, we opted for a Japanese style room and it was wonderful. While we were enjoying the fantastic buffet our room was transformed with futons.
The food was amazing, something for every taste, my teen sons had a wonderful time trying many different dishes over our stay.
Breakfast was nice! Not like the old days, but good. Dinner, ok, but prime rib needs consume gravy. Bit more flavor, but for buffet and organization, service, excellent. Still in great condition, at least in our tower on 8th floor. Onsen nice but water tepid outside, could be tad warmer inside.
