"This was an extremely affordable place to suit our last-minute decision to stay in Koshigoe. The room was great, everything was pretty basic but for the price we paid it was more than enough. "At the checkin I realized our room were without private onsen which was my intention. The first staff said not impossible to upgrade but when I insisted another staff came by and looked and offered upgrade with a fee. Overall a very traditional place to stay. The dinner and breakfast was included and worth the price. However I don’t recommend staying in the Annex building since it’s much older and small rooms."

"Overall, our experience was good. Our first night was wonderful- we were met with friendly staff and the dinner experience was wonderful. The food was good and each portion of the meal was explained and were presented in a beautiful manner. Although the second night’s dinner was not like the first night - we discussed it with the hotel management team and feel they are going to make every effort to ensure other guests will have a memorable experience throughout their stay. Disappointed that we couldn’t stay for breakfast the next day due to an early checkout to continue our itinerary."

Unfortunately the hallways were really musty and run down and the room, while gorgeous (we had our own outdoor onsen, which was divine!), was really damp. The bedding felt damp and the pillows were hard as rocks. Incredible history in this building, with a quirky little museum to wander, but it needs to be renovated."
