"We arrived at our room (21613) to find the fridge was warm, and when we walked into the bathroom there was a very unpleasant odour. After spending about an hour with maintenance staff trying to resolve the issues, we were eventually moved to a new room. The new room was much better overall, however the bathroom extraction fan was not working either. My only other concern was the cleanliness around the toilet area — the tiles on either side of the toilet clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, as there was visible urine residue left from previous guests. Breakfast at Eight Restaurant was also disappointing. My coffee order was forgotten, and after waiting around 40 minutes, I asked about it. I then watched the waiter flick back through several pages to find the order. Once it was finally made, it sat on the counter for several more minutes until I eventually went up and collected it myself. The staff were polite and did try to help, but overall there seemed to be a lack of attention to detail with both housekeeping and service, which made the stay less enjoyable than expected."

"Overall, I had a good stay at Imagine Beach Hotel in Auckland. The location was super convenient, about a 10-minute walk to the main metro station, and it was also an easy pickup point for tour buses, which made getting around very stress-free. Safety and convenience are my biggest priorities when traveling, and this hotel definitely delivered on both. I felt very safe throughout my stay. For cleanliness, I’d give it around 4 stars. When I first checked into my room, I noticed a small confetti string on the floor, and interestingly, it stayed there throughout my 4-night stay. That made me think the rooms may not be vacuumed very thoroughly or that spot was simply missed during cleaning. It wasn’t a major issue for me personally, but it’s something worth noting. Overall, I’d still recommend this hotel, especially for travelers looking for a safe and convenient base in Auckland."
