The place was clean but they give you your room in a near-by tower (not the main conference center) which has more motel vibes than hotel. However, it was clean so no complaints there. You do have to walk to the main hotel if you want to get to any of the amenities like the pool or the bar. I loved that they had fruit infused iced water throughout the conference center.
The location is nice and convenient, very close to the airport and only 5 mins from Universal by car. In terms of food places nearby, they only have fast food within walking distance but if you take the car, there’s nice sit down restaurants about 7 min ride away (Yard House, Outback, etc).
In terms of the hotels bar, it’s just fast food and extremely overpriced drinks. A glass of Sauvignon Blanc was $19 for a bottle that costs me $6 at the grocery store (you get the idea).
The staff was very courteous and pleasant, always willing and happy to help.
