"The location in Edinburgh and the price make this an excellent place to stay. Convenient to bus and train station by foot, airport close. Many restaurants and charming pubs in walking distance. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Having air-con was a bonus for the unseasonably warm temps. Would stay again and recommend to anyone I knew going to Edinburgh."

"We stayed here for three nights in July 2026. We were well received by the front desk, everyone was very friendly. The location was spectacular- right in the center of the royal mile, with truly breathtaking views. The room was spacious, but you could tell the hotel hadn’t been renovated recently and some furniture was a bit worn. All in all, we were happy with our stay here."

"Nice property, modern feeling. The room was a good size, comfortable bed. The hallways were hot and the carpet had a bleach spot. Some of the woodwork needs to be touched up with paint. The bathroom sink drained quite slowly. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The bar area and restaurant were very good. The Sunday roast was excellent and reasonably priced for the quality. The location was convenient to walk everywhere, but there is climb to get to New Town. Overall, I’d stay there again,"

"I am currently backpacking around the UK and I needed a good nights sleep after a long travel day. When I arrived with my big backpack and sweatshirt on the two people at the front desk gave each other a weird look and I had to say hello first and they asked what I wanted. I stated I had a room reserved and they instantly changed demeanors. Other than that, the room and the grounds were lovely and I got the good nights sleep that I needed. The location is great but be warned a lot of uphill walking haha"
