"Overall the property, or indeed, our apartment was great. Clean, and all rooms to a very good standard. Location access was and could be tricky as pavement area requires you to be vigilant to oncoming traffic as you navigate the entry gate. Fantastic views of the landscape of Funchal and 5 minutes walk down the hill you'll find a bank, local cafe/bar, local supermarket and the most beautiful of churches. Unknowingly we booked at the festival of St Antonio and fell in to the festival which was energetic and a lot of fun.All in all a lovely apartment and a great stay."
"We had such a lovely stay at Casa Os Manos — it felt calm, welcoming, and friendly. Nathan was the perfect host: kind, thoughtful, and always there when we needed anything (even emergency coffee and a bottle opener!).
His hiking tips were spot on — PR9 was stunning — and it was so nice to come back to a super comfy bed, a powerful shower, and even a surprise room upgrade. We loved playing pool, listening to Sam Fender, and just soaking in the good vibes.
The location is ideal for exploring the island, and the house has everything you need to feel right at home— and yes, we’ll forgive the Manchester City scarf 😅.
There’s something really peaceful about the place — rural, quaint, and like it’s been looked after with care and intention.
