Three-story Blue Ridge Yurt getaway
This three-story yurt is an architectural wonder, featuring bamboo floors, heat and a/c and other modern amenities. Situated on 3 private acres at the top of an end-state-maintenance road with streams and hiking paths, the property exemplifies the beauty and diversity of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A huge fenced dog pen and cozy dog house make it possible to travel in style with the whole furry fam, while outdoor deck seating makes it feel like a treehouse gathering. Why be square?! The space These 3 private acres abut a 200 acre neighboring piece, so although there is another rental yurt unit on the property, it is still very quiet and private. Downtown Floyd is 20 minutes, and Virginia Tech is 30. The yurt has yet another yurt attached to it that is also yours alone, and the space in total sleeps 8 easily and comfortably. There is one bathroom, with a lovely custom-shower and toilet with a bidet. The space stays warm with a heat pump and propane wall heaters. Guest access Private parking for multiple vehicles right in front of the yurt.

The yurts exceeded our expectations, with comfortable beds, a convenient kitchen, a great selection of games and books, fun decor, and a lovely outdoor space. Perfect long weekend getaway.
The pictures do not do it justice, this Yurt is so cool!
Stunningly beautiful, you a part of the forest we loved it.
We only stayed overnight, I wish we could have stayed longer.
The photos from the site do not do this eclectic and warm place justice - truly a unique adventure and stay. Saw much wildlife while exploring thru the area and around the yurts. The shower is amazing but a few instructions in the bathroom might have been helpful when first using - the temperature got steaming/boiling hot very quickly.
We were 8 adults staying for 2 nights at the three story yurt. What a beautiful location and a unique home. None of us had ever stayed at a yurt and we were amazed at how well appointed it is. The beds were comfortable, there was a spacious common area with an overall comfortable vibe. The separate yurt -4th bedroom (connected by a covered walkway) was amazing, but did not have interior access to the bathroom but that was no problem for us. We hope to be back soon and next time will stay longer to enjoy being surrounded by nature, especially on the upper deck (which surrounds the entire structure). So happy with our stay.

We loved the yurt it was the first time we have stayed in one so unique
This is by far the best VRBO we’ve stayed in! We loved everything about it. The yurt was absolutely outstanding. It was larger than expected, decorated with style and had everything we needed and more. It was raining when we were there and the sound of the rain in the top of the yurt was magical. I now want a yurt for my old age. Woohoo!! Everyone needs a yurt.
I’ve stayed in VRBOs from Maine to Florida and Virginia to California. This was the most eclectic, fun, beautiful, unique, well thought out place I’ve ever stayed. The pictures don’t do it justice. I have told everyone about our experience and cannot wait to go back for a longer visit!
Tucked away in the woods out in the country, the photos don’t do it justice! The decor is Bohemian meets Appalachia with a touch of Whimsy - so much fun! Host was responsive to my questions. Fresh eggs in the fridge, which was delightful - except I’d brought some from my own flock! WiFi was great, plenty of hot water for 6 of us. Host’s friendly dog and cat stopped by during our visit - the painting in the kitchen come to life! Literally felt like I was staying at a friend’s house.
We traveled from NC for my husband’s father’s funeral and the place was very peaceful. Five of our children came by before the funeral and were amazed with the yurt. It was a great place to stay and we will probably be staying there again. The only thing that was unsettling was the refrigerator and freezer had leftover food that was not thrown away, and the bathroom have dirty body sponges in it.
