"As a base for exploring the island The Fig Tree was a good choice. The staff were pleasant ,the room clean and comfortable, without being large. Continental Breakfast choice was adequate without having the range of a larger property, and the cooked breakfasts were good. The esplanade and a friendly pub, serving a small range of good food options on 3 nights per week were within easy walking distance,"

"The hotel is well maintain and the public areas are a pleasant place to spend time. Decor/furnishing is fun and good quality. The rooms are a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The pool area is not huge, but is a pleasant place to spend some time. Parking is limited. Sadly, I had an issue with dinner and breakfast. The website had stated that their was food available in the evening during peak season, but that was not the case. The website seems to have been updated to reflect this. Breakfast is served from 8am to 10am, which I found a little limited as I was travelling for work. Sadly, the doors to the restaurant were still closed at 8.05am, so I was forced to make alternative arrangements. Small things to fix, but overall good."

"Really lovely place. I liked the decoration to the room (the rope along the skirting board was a nice touch). Jackie was a great host and provided a very nice breakfast. It’s well located between the high street, the beach/ cliff lift and the old town isn’t that far away at all. Would definitely return here some day! Thank you Jackie!"

"Great hosts, really friendly attentive service. Lovely decor with a beech hut theme. Wonderful breakfasts. Lovely mature garden, very extoic, and I found myself sending more time in the garden than I probably should have. Clean facilities, very swanky spicy, sandlewoody shower gel/shammpoo and condition, dont bring any of your own you won't need it, and the conditioner made light work of my long fine, tangly and beechy hair. I enjoyed my stay so much here, that I feel it necessary to devote the time to compose a more comprehensive review, but I have just got back from my stay. If you are reading this, don't hesitate."

"The Kenbury was a great place to stay for our family. The family room was a great space with everything we needed to settle in with an extra bonus of having a fridge in the room with fresh milk. The breakfasts were amazing. The location was brilliant as it was quiet but within walking distance to Shanklin high street and the beach isn’t far either."

"extremely helpful and friendly staff. Lovely well laid out property with everything you need in great location. nice enclosed outdoor space which is a bit of a sun trap. plenty of nearby pubs and restaurants, and a 10 - 15 minute walk to the beach. I'm afraid that feel that the check in system is a big let down and very much based on squeezing as much money as possible in a rather cynical manner from early check in costs. we all know that the entry time has crept up over the years to 4 o'clock and more. location and entry information should be available at the very least the day before in my view and not less than an hour before. I was being told that I could pay a lot of money for 12 o'clock entry at 1.30pm !! extremely disappointing and a big let down for the great work that your support staff do."
