"We enjoyed Donna Carmela so much we extended our stay by 2 days. All staff were gracious and helpful. We loved the sumptuous breakfast, gourmet restaurant for dinner, as well as the lounge and pool bars. After a day of sightseeing around Mt Etna and Taormina, we came back to the oasis of this lovely resort."

"Beautiful hotel set amongst stunning gardens and offering fabulous views of both sea and countryside. The hotel is well placed to visit Mount Etna. Varied breakfast was fresh and well presented. Staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The king classic room we booked was much smaller than we’d expected so hotel kindly relocated us to a superior panoramic room which was lovely. All in all this was an oasis to end our two weeks touring Sicily. Loved it."

"I felt like I could have been in a Room with a View - The gentle sunshine, the old house hidden in lemon trees, stone floors, views of Etna, family dinners. The family that runs the place are grandchildren of the owner. A friendly dog, Lily, is the official greeter. Everything is clean, rustic, the food is good and you feel very at home. Everywhere you look is a picture. We slept well. It is not far out in the country at all, but it feels very far away. A great place. We ate breakfast and dinner. One night we had the pasta the “class” had made that afternoon. "

"We had a really nice stay at Giuseppe’s flat. Communication was really good and we really appreciated the time Giuseppe spent with us to check us in and give us tips on where to go. The flat was spotlessly clean. View of Etna is unbeatable. The area was quiet while we were there in April. You can walk to the sea at the end of the road but there’s no beach. Very useful to have the garage to park the car. Thanks for a great stay. "

"What a terrific stay we had here! Grandparents, parents, 4 boys and a family friend. The house is terrific - immaculately clean, beautiful pool and garden, well situated to take advantage of all sites in eastern Sicily. You wake up to sunrise over the Ionian Sea on one side of the house and have cocktails to sunset overlooking Mt Etna on the other. If I could give Nadia the host 10 stars, I would. She was welcoming, attentive and always got right back with answers to any questions. Take advantage of town of Santa Venerina - some of our best meals per Nadia’s recommendations. We would definitely come back!! "
