"This place is magical. It’s walking distance to the beach and town. It has everything that you need. We enjoyed how peaceful and well decorated the home was. The hosts were communicative and provided us with all of the details that we needed. Highly recommend!"

"We had an excellent time at this well-appointed and comfortable cottage in Waimea. It is in easy walking distance to Black Sands beach and to a long pier from which to watch the sunset. It's right next to several good restaurants, food trucks, and bakeries. We stayed in Waimea primarily to hike Waimea Canyon, and this was the perfect base camp. It's got a well-appointed kitchen for snacks and meals, as well as washer/dryer to help with all the mud from hiking. It's got a big tub for soaking sore muscles. The yard is beautiful and well kept. The AC works great. We were concerned that maybe it would be loud with the restaurants nearby, but it was very peaceful and quiet. The management was easy to work with and very communicative, and we had a great experience. We'll be back here next time we're in south Kauai."

"We thoroughly shouted our week vacation at Aunty Lydia’s Ohana. We were a family of 6, 4 adults and 2 kids. There was plenty of room for everyone and the 2 outdoor showers were an amazing bonus. The location of the house was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and town. We will definitely return."

"Wonderfully updated home right in the middle of town. But it’s not noisy at night in Hanalei. Walk to the beach. Great kitchen for cooking and eating space. Terrific coffee across the road in the morning (but there can be a line). Enjoy!"

"The home is lovely, one I would be willing to rent again for a longer stay. The kitchen has everything needed for preparing meals for in home dining. Based on the map at my time of booking it seemed as if the home was a little closer to town. It really is only a five minute walk to the beach, but it’s on the opposite side of the highway. The home is located on a private driveway, and was fairly quiet although you do hear the announcements from the school each morning and afternoon. It took a minute to get over the physical location. Once we did, we realized, it was no problem and fell in love with the place. It includes beach chairs, umbrellas, a beach wagon, and cooler. It is an easy walk to the beach. A little more effort to walk to town, but not bad. Quiet nice neighborhood. You do hear the dogs bark from the property behind, but at a distance, so not overwhelming. Otherwise, just normal neighborhood sounds. The master bedroom can get a little warm. I don’t understand how the cross breeze did not get to that room. But there are fans and a room AC unit, so that solved the issue. The house has a lot of windows, so natural light fills the place. Very nice. We would definitely come back again. Property manager was attentive and responsive to any needs or questions."
