Convenient and freedom

We were not psychologically prepared for such a tight parking spot as there was a large vehicle beside us. The stay was large and comfy and the kitchen was very essential part of the convenience and freedom. Perhaps it’s the cultural difference as the elevator went to nowhere in between floors. Apartment B has no blackout curtains. We didn’t find the broom until the last day of stay. Laundry and deck allowed for wash and dry of laundry.

Nice location.

There were + and - about the Market Place. The communication and entry were excellent. It was close to the Market and several restaurants and grocery stores. The unit itself was large and clean with all the kitchen amenities. There was lots of cupboard and wardrobe space. The balcony was large and sunny. If I was going to find fault it would be with the furnishings. There weren't many. It could use a few more chairs and tables. A sideboard would be very useful. Also a multi-plug extension cord. But I'm being fussy. On the whole it was a very pleasant experience thanks to João and his staff. Thanks.

We had a great stay in Apt F! Prompt communication and there was a lovely welcome basket with treats and wine when we arrived. It's spacious, clean, comfortable and very well stocked. We loved the balcony and wonderful views. Fantastic location - close to the market and many restaurants and sights. We had a car for our week stay and parking was good. Highly recommend this unit for couples. There are open stairs so would check into one of the other units if your party includes young children or someone with mobility issues.

Very nice apartments,good location, but very noicy

The apartments in Market Place are very nice and comfortable (based on staying in Dept. D). They are well equiped with lots of closet space and the kitchen utensils you need. The view was nice and everything around getting in and checking out is functioning very well. Only two problems: 1. there is a lot of noice. Both from the road just in front where many cars drive and from the house it self. The car to the garage slams very hard and you hear the others buzzing them in, walking on the stairs and opening and closing their doors - also at midnight or later.... 2. the drive in to the garage is a big challenge. You come from a busy street where you have to stop the car while the garage opens. Make sure you make the turn from as far over as possible - otherwise you will not fit in! There is also a steep bump when passing the walkway - many cars have scrabed their buttom here. The garage is nice, but the spaces are very narrow, so if you have a big car, I would leave it outside.

Incredible place! I strongly recommend it!! Near downtown, close to everything. The space is big, with garage and everything you need to have a good time in Ponta Delgada. Internet is fast, in case you need it.

Spacious apartments at the city center

Nice apartments, with a garage (very important), located at the city center. Walking distance from the port and the city center atractions. Big room, well equiped kitchen (no washing machine at the apartment though, only one at the garage; need to take your own laundry detergent if you want to use it though).

We stayed in Apartment B. It is spacious enough for 2 people, with a nice kitchen, terrace, and living room. The beds are small for US standards but because they were two twins that worked better than if only a queen. There was AC but we didn’t use it as the temperature was perfect. Finally the communication was excellent with the owner responding several of our queries. Overall an excellent stay.

São Miguel

Perfect location close to many restaurants, farmers market, and downtown attractions. Beautiful, clean, modern apartment with balcony offering amazing views of the harbor. There’s a covered parking garage which was helpful as street parking is difficult to find at times.
